Rules that will always be followed.
1. No instant actions or killing when in an action with another person.
If the person your interacting with is online at the time then they have 10 minutes to respond to your post. if they don't then you can take the next step in the action you were taking.
If the person your interacting with isn't online they are given a day to respond to your action. This is due to the person may have been taken off line before they were able to put their char in a safe position till they could get back on the next day.
2. You must if at all possible end your situations or find a way to put it on hold if you have to leave. An OOC board that is related to the game or OOC in the game is fine if you have to notify everyone but if it's just one person then PM them.
Unless something happened that left you without control of why you left.
Example: Power outage. Dog watered your computer causing it to fry.
Then your char will be safe from any actions taken against them during your down time. Depending on what the person in charge of the RP feels is fine to do.
3. You must have a char sheet built. This is so that people and yourself are able to see what you have. And if you can actually do what you say you are doing.
4. No 1337 or leet talk. There are no warning for this. Your post will be deleted if you use it intensely to the fact that 20% of people have no idea what the hell your saying. Second it will land you in the soup faster then you can even realize what day of the week it is or weather you just **** your pants.
Basic rules that can be changed by the head of the game.
1. No God Moding. It is highly frowned on, And makes you look like a newbie.
2. Act withing your char. If your a fisherman and have lived on the sea your whole life you most likely don't know how to fly a plane or any ninjitus.
3. No Rift's type Chars. I hate the Game Rifts and all the others like them. over powered chars that have no real business playing with regular mortals.
Problem with Rifts type chars is the fact that their level 1 is around level 20 for normal roleplaying chars. To dam powerful.
Break the rules and you go into the soup.
Rules to clarify
There are no real set rules on the Char sheets as of yet. The chars you develop in the Char sheet board will be your basic ones.
We do understand that you may need or want to play a different char in a different game.
That is handled with Sign up sheets made by the person starting a game. if they want you to use this sheet they will tell you or they will have to come up with a sheet themselves and you will have to follow that sheet. Their game their rules for the most part.
Only a few rules that I have posted will always over ride all the rules that your Dm or head of the game has created. but then again the rules I'm talking about shouldn't really interfere with a game at all. _________________ Don't make me beat you with my spoon.
