I apologize for the inconvenience

Sorry for the lack of posts yesterday but I broke my left arm (for the third time) yesterday and spent it in the hospital. I can't type that well right now, it takes me 3x times longer using one hand. So that way I don't have to type that much I'll make along story short. I hate stairs, I hate my knee, I hate my dogs, and I hate my mom for making my dad paint the stairway which in turn involves removing the handrail. If you can't figure out what happened. Ask someone with a brain. I'm trying to limit how much I have to do so Kyle is essentially dead for right now, he might come back later but don't plan on it until four to six weeks from now. I will post in 2nd and BP. ----------Thanks, Kevin
ginpu

Fuuuuuuuck dude. Wow... that... sucks.
Demecas

dema help

-breaks his other arm-

there now they match.

sorry had to. but no in truth good luck with that and I hope it takes less time then they suggest. cause those casts ca be ungodly ichy.
BlackBlade

I know... third time for this arm. At least it didn't involve a car or playground equipment like all my others. Current broken bone count: 16 (not counting fractures.) What sucks even worst I can work on cars I have to be a secretary, I hate talking to people over the phone!!!
ginpu

Is it your bones aren't very strong or you are insanely rough with them? I'm curious cause 3x on the same arm? fuuuug
Durandal

You need to drink more milk! Or eat more cheese... or something.

Sorry you have been injured, Kevin. That really sucks, but we understand. Just focus on getting better, and make sure you tell us about any stupid customer stories you may get while working the telephone.
BlackBlade

Feel free to laugh at me. I'm use to it.
Lets see First time: Fell off monkey bars, and hit a ladder that's all I know I got a concussion from it I woke up in the hospital two days later, missing my 5th birthday completely. Second time: 6 months later I tripped fell down a slide head first and landed weirdly, Also this broke my right collar bone. Insert car accident and all the other breakage of bones. Then Yesterday dog knock me down stairs. My life sucks.
Durandal

You ought to get voice recognition software for you computer, and couple that with a good mic so you won't have to use your arms at all to type. Get your mom to get it for you, since she was the one who had your dad remove the handrail. Tell her it's a necessity.
ginpu

*looks around*
I don't see anyone near me laughing.
BlackBlade

GH did the first time I told Him in IMUV a few months ago. Hell even I laugh about it now................sometimes
Durandal

Oh, you mean laughing about his bad luck. Hmm...

Well, on the bright side it's never something permanent, since bones heal. You just gotta try and be more careful... always. With that track record extra caution seems extremely important.
BlackBlade

No.....no ...... I laugh at myself. But I have never been injured playing ice hockey. I don't get it and neither do my parents.
Spirit Wolf

I laugh my ass of at any injury, even my own. It helps.
ginpu

I'm a chick. So laughing about other's pain isn't on my priority list. Sorry.

On a similar note last night I learned green belt choke escape 3 (i think it was three) and I had to flip/roll someone over me. Teacher got Jason, our 17 year old 3rd degree black belt to come in for me to flip/roll him over me. Yeah... 17 year olds are kinda bony and well... my right boob isn't quite happy right now. That should give ya something to laugh about. heh.
Durandal

If I was going to laugh, I wouldn't laugh cause you got hurt, Ginpu. I'd laugh cause you said 'boob.'

That is... until I remembered how old I am.

Well, if we're exchanging stories about comical injuries, then I've got one to share. I was going bike-riding with my dad in our neighborhood, and there's this one part of the circuit where the road that is at a really steep incline. Well, I hadn't actually ridden my bike in about two years because I got so busy with high school and karate, etc, so I wasn' as skilled with it as I had been before. On this slope, I decided to remove my bottle from its holder and take a drink. I manage this without problem, except for the fact that I dropped the bottle's lid. Well...

Without the lid, what am I supposed to do? I can't put the bottle back in its holder, but I'm stuck holding it. So, I decide to slow down and go back to get it. I squeeze the lever for what I thought was the back brakes, only to find out I had been mistaken. I had actually squeezed the front brakes while on this steep slope going down, and while only using one hand to control the bike.

This interesting combination resulted in me flying over the handlebars and sliding for about ten feen on the gravel. My dad's bike has one of those things that tell you how fast you were going at the time, and we were at 22 miles per hour. I had completely scraped off any skin that might have been on my hands or knees, as well as sprained my ankle because it somehow got caught up in the bike during the event. I was actually relatively lucky I wasn't hurt worse.

So there you have it, my tale of pain. Enjoy.
ginpu

Well, I hate to say it but for all the accidents and stupid shit I've done, I've broken 0 bones, received 0 sprains, and no muscles torn.

The worst I had was I had torn the meniscus in my right knee and had it arthoscopically removed about 4 years ago. And when I was one, my sister and i were playing on the gate, i apparently had gotten off, she didn't know that, I ate the gate, busted my nose, almost got encephalitis almost died, but lived. That's all I know of.

I don't know the pain of broken bones, though I always wanted one just to get a cast and have everyone write on it.

Silly, no?
Durandal

That is funny.

Although, you could always get a cast without breaking your arm... I'm sure people would sign in anyway.

And you've never sprained anything? I've had almost as many sprains as Kevin's had broken bones.
ginpu

No sprains, no casts, no crutches (except for the knee surgery, and a REALLY BA PAINFUL ingrown toenail), no slings, no ace bandages, no splints.

Bandaids I have worn plenty of for scraped knees, scratches from trees, stickerbushes, sticks wielded by siblings and cats. um.. Been bit by a horse and kicked square in the thigh by one. Stepped on by em too, thrown off... but... yeah. Nothing beyond bruises, scraps and cuts. And I've never had stitches for anything that wasn't voluntary.
Zymeth

The same arm 3 times!?... I hope the bone wasn't broken in the same place each time, I heard that can cause serious problems.

I can only remember breaking a bone once, but not much of it cuz I was in kindergarten... I think I liked to climb on the furnature and I fell... And then there was something about the Cookie Monster... Nope, can't remember more.

((P.S. Sorry, I was also gone for a whole day. Had to make up a missed final, then my mom dragged me off to another place. Didn't get back till 11 and my computer had restarted by then))

Haven't had good experiences with those peices of crap.

Lets' see.....broke my front teeth, 'bout 5-6 years ago, still don't have premanent caps.....dentist say's next time I need to fix the farking temp caps, I'll need freezing for sure. Lost abotu 6 temp caps total now....lost one the day I got it fixed (was fixed again the next day)

So yeah, have fun with the broken limbs.

(Suddenly not quite looking forward to working on scaffolding as a carpenter.....)
BlackBlade

Let's the number of times i did what Durandal did.......... I'm going with a range here 5-8 times. I have destroyed 3 bikes including a Specialized (Bike company) Rockerhopper that was made from Titanium alloy. The funniest thing is that one time after landing on my face and sliding to a stop half my right (can I say "nipple" here?) was gone. It wasn't pleasant do you know how long it takes for those to heal fully? Too long. But on another note I find that disk brakes work much better, then the rubber ones, there's no sudden stoppage when they become less wet.

I have the strange feeling that I not going to be old when I die.
ginpu

http://www.deathclock.com/

there you go, figure it out. Though, I should live to 80. 50 more years to go. ugh.

btw, that's for entertainment purposes only.

Why couldn't you say nipple? I mean its what's on you right? Or would you rather call it something else? Mammary gland thing? Teat? Srsly thou, I don't know what else to call it. LOL
Dr. Salem

It told me that I got 59 years left in me. i don't know what mode means though. I may be wrong, I just put in normal.
Spirit Wolf

HOLY SHIT!!! I ONLY GOT 20 YEARS LEFT!!!!
ginpu

Take it you are a pessimistic person then. Your outlook on life seems to be the biggest factor in the death clock. You can change other stuff around, but attitude has the biggest impact.
Spirit Wolf

Actually, I'm sadistic.
ginpu

No. You're sick.
Spirit Wolf

Well, i do have a runny nose.
Dr. Salem

Someone define the modes please.
Spirit Wolf

Pessimistic- the glass is half-empty
Optimistic- the glass is half full
Sadistic-you love pain and to torture others
Dr. Salem

I'm normal then, I prefer none of those. The glass if half-way done for me.
ginpu

I'm normal to optimistic. There are days where I get depressed but I stop myself and try and enjoy the day instead.
Dr. Salem

I'm most depressed when I tired... when there's no reason to stop and enjoy the day.

School kills my happiness whatever is left after waking up tired.
BlackBlade

I think talking to insurance companies also lessen your life span.... another reason why I hate the fact I can't work on cars. Now I have to insurance companies and customers. I think I'll end up strangling myself with a phone before next Friday.
Demecas

at least you have a plan.
BlackBlade

But it's a bad plan.
Demecas

true but most people dont' even have that. now you just have to work on it. :p
BlackBlade

Forget what I said about hate working in the office.... I love to work in the office because it has A/C. The shop's temp was 95 today the office 75. let's here it for broken bones.
Spirit Wolf

Hey, if you want, I'll come down there with my 100 pound sledge and break some more of your bones.
BlackBlade

No, no I'm good.
Spirit Wolf

Oh, come on. It's custom made too!
BlackBlade

You have a custom made 100 pound sledge hammer for breaking bones?
Spirit Wolf

No, I have a 100 pound custom sledge for breaking rocks.
