Ha ha! Just got a letter in the mail informing me that I have met the requirements for the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship and will be receiving an additional $1,500 a year for all four years. Add that to Bright Futures and the $1,000 a year from National Merit Finalist scholarship and the money we have set aside and that means free ride!

Just thought I'd share the good news.

Well, I have 360 version and PC version.

It used to freeze on 360 too. On PC this was actually only the second time it froze, but this time was for no reason... (last time it was because I had installed two mods that were incompatible)

I seriously love the PC version though; it's far superior to the 360 one. On PC you can download tons of mods that make the game so much better. Like I have an auto-leveler that allows me to play the game without worrying about efficient leveling up. I have a weather mod that adds all kinds of new weather types and makes the existing ones so much better. There's a sound overhaul that adds tons of new sounds that make dungeons and dark nights downright creepy. There's now werewolves, amazons, hell hounds, all kinds of new npcs, creatures, and enemies. It's amazing.

But... all those mods can screw with the game. Half of the time when I try to exit the game it stops responding. Fortunately, that's the only time it stops responding like that; when I'm already quitting.

If you keep having problems Dur, go post about it on my boards. Phiz played the game many times, and I know he ran into problems along the way, so he might know of a way to improve the game's performance.

Ha, duping doesn't work anymore thanks to all my mods. I once had over a thousand iron arrows on the 360 and I tried to dupe a silver shortsword... I have never seen so much lag. We're talking maybe 0.1 frames per second. That's right, ten seconds for the frame to change.

Ginpu, thanks for the insight, and I checked out the Oblivion section of your thread, but a lot has changed sense then, and most of the posts that were there aren't even working anymore. One that was is absolutely hilarious: http://imperialguard.ytmnd.com/.

But no, I'm not having any problems really. Even with all the mods installed I have had less errors on the PC than on the 360. Of course, my parents wouldn't let me get xbox live, so I couldn't install any of the updates that would have fixed that...

Heh, I just read three pages of the Oblivion thread on your forum, Ginpu. It's a lot of the following: 'this game is sweet,' 'it crashes so much,' and 'everything is so revolutionary.'
And there's all these questions that could be answered by simply reading the manual. Not sure what's up with that.

I've already aced the game play on the 360. I learned how to enchant weapons that could kill level 25 Daedra in two hits, literally. There weren't any challenges for me. But now I'm playing with mods... and it makes it a lot more balanced.

Meh. I didn't read much in that thread cause it was a game that interested me very little. LOL I tried to make a cat lady, and even though it was kinda customizable, it wasn't as customizable as I needed. Heh.

Crap... now I've done it.

20 new mods installed and one of them broke Oblivion. Now I have to go and disable them, most likely in groups of five and then narrow it down to the mod or mods that are causing it to die on me.

Okay, a little Oblivion update:

I'm sure you'll all be relieved to know that I didn't screw up my game afterall (as far as I know).

I just put the Knights of the Nine esp after the KofN Unofficial Patch esp. Doh! Pretty stupid, I must admit. But at least it wasn't one of my new magic mods or anything.

Well, I have returned to the internet.

Not much else to say besides that, but it's true, and I figured I should inform you.

On a side note: college is great. My dorm is amazing and my classes and schedule are sweet. This promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable year.

I am still rather busy though, so I won't be as active as I have been in the past. This might change by monday, but that's the first day of classes, and it might turn out that I will be even busier. I'm really not sure. This is not, of course, to say that I will be leaving you all, of that you can be assured.

Anyway, I'm back and it is good to be back and I look forward to more Dragon RP.
