My first actual RP. WOOT!

Irallia is a land of 5 major races: the Dragons of the northern volcanos, The cat ninja of the eastern jungles, the wolf druids of the central plains, the Necromantic snake people of the southern dunes, and the humans of the western forests. Humans are the relative newcomers, they've only been on Irallia for 200 years, and in that time they built an empire that took over most of Irallia.

There is extreme prejudice between the humans and the other 4 races. It has gotten to the point where any non-human can be taken as a slave.

There is a resistance against the Empire lead by a golden dragon named Tiamat. Their goal is to bring down Emperor Zelas and bring a new government to Irallia, one that favors all races and not just the humans.

Tiamat is usually the evil god of dragons. Bahamut is the good god, typically the platinum dragon. That was my first thought.

2nd thought - what kind of dragons are allowed? Judging by the desire to bring back balance by Tiamat, i would imagine the metallic dragons (good dragons - Gold, Silver, brass, bronze and copper) and perhaps nuetral dragons? Such as the gem dragons, and a few others?

My brain is terribly preprogrammed to DnD when it comes to dragons. Although Final Fantasy keeps with the lore as far as the dragon king/god being bahumut.

Description: Black fur, yellow green eyes, 5' 11" tall, left ear is missing a rather large chunk, has many scars. Currently wearing brown tattered pants, no shirt, Wrist irons but the chain is broken.

History: Kyle has no memories from before he was enslaved. Has been a slave to a cruel owner for close to 12 years. Slowly lost his sanity during that time, no thanks to control spells. (Thank you, 2kinds). Now is on the run from a slave recoverer. He doesn't trust anyone do to the fact that no one around him has even been trust worthy. He doesn't know why or how he escaped, expect for the fact it seemed like the right thing to do.

Leaving Tiamat gold is fine. A gold dragon would be the best leadership icon for a fight against evil/evil intent/etc.

If I do this I would most likely play a Fang Dragon. I intend to follow DnD on how the dragon itself would act, alignment, abilities etc.

Being as I would follow that, what age/level would we be starting at?

I know I ask a shit-ton of questions, but with dragons, its easy to overkill an RP. Easy for me anyways.

We're all starting at about lvl. 1. Please try not to godmod. Also, in this, dragons DO have their own magic that no other race can copy, especially humans, since their bodies can't take it. You can play like a DnD dragon, but when it comes to size, stick with the age basis, like I tried to do. Ok, anything else yall wanna chew my head off about? Remember, asking questions WILL make the RP better because there are still some things I might not have thought about. I'M NOT PERFECT DAMN IT!!!

ok. so 104 years equals an adult.

here's where my experience ruins the whole concept. an adult gold dragon would be well over level 20 and as an adult falls into the huge category. Elephant sized. Though... as a wyrmling, they do get alternate form, ie shape changing to a medium sized humanoid. A wyrmling gold dragon is medium sized (like a human) but is 0-5 years old.

I'm not trying to criticize you GH, I just want to make sure I understand best I can and all this is fleshed out so I have a basis to work on.

Sorry if I am being a major pain in the ass on this.

What am I missing/have incorrect? I dunno nothing about dragon magic so I left that blank.....and as for age aren't dragons usually immortal as far as aging is concerned?

Ok, I think this RP needs some more Info.

Cat people have mostly Illusion and transformation magic, though they can learn other forms of magic.

I'll call the Snake people the Naga for ginpu's sake. They're magic is necromantic, It's not evil, so don't confuse it. go to google and type Diablo 2 for info about them.

And lastly, how you draw magic depends on the person. Some can draw it from the fey lines that run through the land, others draw it from themselves. It's easier to draw it from the body, but drawing from the fey lines alows for a limitless amount of magic, but it does wear out your body much faster.

Whenever a disturbance arose and military force was required, Gilliam was always there, shining like a diamond among coal. Upon being named one of the Empire’s three generals, Gilliam continued to fight in the emperor’s name and it is through his hard work that the Empire is as secure as it is today. Name: No22, also called Nozz.

Age: 26

Race: Half Saphire Dragon - Half Naga

Occupation: CES for the army (Created Expendable Soldier)

Rank: Weapon.

Weapons: A Lucite Bo, natural attacks of claw, claw and bite.

Armor: Due to her dragon and naga heritage her skin is hard scaled resulting in the equivalent of leather armor. Her monk class allows her to wear no additional armor.

Skills: Extremely proficient in hand to hand combat and the use of her Bo. Electricity immunity.

Magic: Spider Climb (always active), Drain Life 1x day. Breathe weapon, 30 foot cone of sonic energy (described below) usable 1x day.

Weaknesses: Lawful. Have you ever tried to play a lawful creature? ZOMG! ok. srsly though. ok... um...
She is equipped with a collar that tightens should she have any thoughts that are against her orders. It reminds her how nice it is to breathe. They would have shocked her, but she is immune to electricity, a lot of good that does.
Her mind is almost like a computer, programmed to do what it is told and to not think otherwise.
Emotionless, Friendless, Compassionless, she comes off as very cold.
No free thought (as long as the collar exists)
She is at a large disadvantage in ranged combat.
Her only possessions are the clothes on her back and her Lucite Bo, given to her by her mentor.

Description: She is a biped and stands 6 foot even. Her skin is a blue beneath the dark iridescent sapphire scales. Her face and undersides are a much lighter paler blue. This would mean her chest, abdomen, insides of the arms and legs and underside of her tail. Yes she has a tail. Her tail is about 3 foot in length, barely touching the floor while she is standing, it is musclular and smooth like that of her naga heritage. Her face in general is very human like. She has the normal structure of human eyes, their color is is orange, the eyes themselves are slightly slanted (think oriental). She has dark and lowlight vision from her dragon heritage. She does have pale blue, almost white hair, though it is kept at a relatively short length. Long hair would just be one more thing to be grabbed in battle. Her nose is a bit shorter, smaller than a human, due to the naga heritage. She has small ear flaps. Another notable feature is the horns that grow from her head. They start at the crown of her head and curve towards the back before coming to the front again. There is one on the left and one on the right. The left one has a few chunks sliced out of it from previous battles. She does have a large scar starting at the top left shoulder blade, leading down and around to her right knee. The story for why is long, but I will let you know that the only reason she survived was from her drain life. At the end of each hand are claws, however she normally uses closed fists in battle. Her eye teeth are larger and longer than a humans. They sit a slightly outside her lips (like a vampire). Her hands have 4 digits (3 fingers and a thumb. Her feet have 4 digits as well with a 5th nearly like a dew claw (dogs have these. it's kinda like a thumb. it's on the inside and higher up, doesn't reach the ground. Think Trex feet from Jurassic Park). She weighs about 170. Height and muscle. She has an athletic build. She wears a tank top and loose fitting pants that just pass her knee (like clamdiggers keke) and tie off right below it. The top is a light grey, the bottoms are a darker grey with the ties being a dark orange.

History: Oh the lovely humans. With their desire to conquer everything, have even tried to conquer genetics. The scientists and mages amongst the humans have tried effortlessly to create the perfect slaves, and even the perfect soldiers. They have succeeded at least once that we know of. They spliced into the naga genes and spliced into the sapphire dragons gene's to create their idea of the perfect expendable soldier.

Sapphire Dragons are lawful neutral creatures. Just the perfect base for such a soldier. It is bound to obey the laws, and doesn't seem to care much as to which side it shall fight on as long as it follows the law it has learned. Another key feature of the Sapphire dragon is it's ability to spider climb. This ability is always active. Sapphire dragons are immune to electricity. As a half dragon, the creature is able to use it's breath weapon once a day. Sapphire Dragons breathe a cone of sonic energy, this energy causes panic in the affected targets for about 15 seconds.

They mixed these strengths with the natural necromantic abilities of the Naga. As a half Naga, the creature is able to drain the life of another creature to heal itself once per day. Depending on the condition of the target, this could result in the death of the target.

This creature was trained as a monk. She does not speak unless spoken to. Words are kept short and precise. Usually a simple nod is the only response she makes. As a monk she wears no armor as she would be burdened by it. Her training has given her better than average reflexes, will and fortitude.

She does not recall a child hood. She was created and under constant watch and surveillance. She started out being called Number 22 and was never given a proper name. However her mentor decided to treat the twos as Zs and called her Nozz. Even in her battalion she is treated as a slave, always having kitchen duty, latrine duty, and any other type of duty the humans didn't care to do. Out on the battlefield however she was treated as weapon. Often times she was sent on top secret night missions to abduct members, old and young, of the other races to bring them back for slavery. One mission did not fare to well and she nearly died. The large scar is a testament and remembrance to this failure. She was punished severely for such failure. She would have been better off letting herself die than to heal herself and return. However, her mind acts as though it is programmed and death was not an option.

She is currently under the command of one General Flamestone.

History: Selena went to the Imperial Academy to become an officer. She was taught the ways of fighting at the same time as she learned etiquette and history. Through her loyalty and determination, Selena rose to the top of the ranks and was appointed general by Emperor Zelas. Selena is a kind-hearted person, and she dislikes killing the innocent. At the same time though, she swore to obey her emperor, and she holds that oath above all else.

Description: Valter has pale skin earned though his studies which have kept him inside for far longer than is healthy. Further deterioration to his body has occurred due to his dabbling in the dark magics. Valter's eyes are a shiny gray and sunken into his head. His hair has either fallen out in patches and the rest has turned white.
History: Valter's past from before he was appointed general is a mystery. All that is known about him is that he had spent more than a few years studying the mystic arts before his appearance on the political scene. The commander of all magic elements of the Emperor's army, Valter tends to keep to either himself or surround himself with his fellow magic wielders.

as it stands noone is near each other. Demecas is sitting in her cage with dead things around her. BB is off on his own. Zymeth is alone.

You really could easily make yourself run into any of these. I know who I would personally run into, but that's me and not you so I won't tell you who to run into, but you have 3 people alone you can run into. If you are already a part of the resistance running into GH shouldn't be a problem as it would only be natural that you two are already aquainted.

Per my character sheet I do not have wings. I used my Monster Manuals as a guide to working such a creature into a game. She is what I consider medium sized, and per the MM she gets no wings unless she is large or bigger. I think wings would make her over powered. I had to dumb her down a bit to still look at her and say she's level 1...more or less. LOL

BB makes a good point about Shadowfall. I am waiting for Demecas to make it become the 3rd day. I think she is giving everyone a chance to say something before sleeping. I'm eagerly awaiting that.

Yes. Alucard is Dracula backwards. It is also the head Vampire's name in the Hellsing MANGA/ANIME, not the liva action movie. In the manga Alucard is called the Nosferatu. Thus my comment. Does that make better sense Durandal?

I work for our local paper here in Florida, which happens to be owned by the E.W. Scripps Company. Many of you have watched or read Scripps without knowing it. They own HGTV, Food Network, DIY, Shopzilla (online) amongst other things, but those are the bigger national things.

I work with two Sales Reps that sell to the local retail and classified customers for display ads. What's a display ad? Well open your nearest copy of any newspaper. You see that ad for Joe Schmoe's plumbing? That ad for Walmart? That ad for TGI Friday's? Those are all display ads. The national accounts send us ad already made. But Joe Schmoe there can't afford an advertising Agency, so the paper creates the advertisement for him. He has to approve it before it runs, but yeah. I'm one of those people who makes the pretty ad for the poor local guy.

It's not all that bad. I have won 2 awards in my 3 years here. 1 is a company award for the design of an ad. The other is an Addy regional award. Addy is some national competition. So that thing alone makes me feel quite accomplished. Plus my 2 raises last year that were unexpected. The first was twice what I expected, normal yearly raise, and halfway through the year they found some extra money and my boss could give it to only 3 artists. I was one of them.

Business has been slow lately so I have had A LOT of free time. And even when I do have work to do, I'm too damn efficient that I finish it up in minimal time. Which leaves me with lots of free time.

Posting on boards can only go so far if there is no one to talk to. I tend to draw in my free time. Even work on my comic. My boss here is awesome great, as long as I have my work done, I can pretty much goof off. heehee

So yeah... What's going on with Shadowfall?!?!

Just a tip. Don't cram big actions into a short post. Give your players a chance to respond to your actions this way they have some say in how the game runs, making it more fun and more unpredictable for all. You're not doing too bad other than that.
