Rockfall city- 2:35 am.

Everything is quiet except for the occasional clank of armor as guards do their rounds. It's peaceful, a large tower in the middle of it serving as the main quarters of the government here. Suddenly, there's an explosion from the top of the tower and a dark figure is falling from it. At about 5 meters from the ground the figure suddenly grows wings and levels out going at a very fast speed. WEEEEEHOOO! The figures amulet glows. Jack? Jack! the mission was to destroy that building, not blow yourself off of it! Oh, relax and wait. Suddenly theres an explosion from the bottom of the tower, bringing it down. Jack laughs as he speeds through the town, doing fancy aerial maneuvers around people and guards. Hah, you should see their faces. Reckless Jack, very reckless. Sometimes I wonder why you're second in command. For my good looks and charm, baby. Jack laughs again as he flies right under the gate, with only 2 centimeters to spare.

Fleeing through the woods- 6:45 pm

*Kyle was running through the woods at top speed, it was getting dark now. [Good, he won't be able to see that well in the dark plus I blend in more.] *Kyle was being chased be a slave recovery agent from the empire. This was the second day of Kyle being on the run and he was starting to second guess himself. But he pushed those thoughts aside and continued running. His wrist iron's chain was broken and rattling as he ran* [I got to get these things off] *Kyle reached his target the river. He knew that there some small villages along it but he was going to risk that this river would mask the tracking spell he was hit with when he escaped. He jumped in a let the current take him.* "That wasn't ...to...bad. It went better Then..... I planed... Almost makes me wish ..... I had one"

OOC: Hey GH, could you maybe use orange instead of yellow please? It's really hard to read. And yeah, I know this is long. Please just bear with me and read it...

THUD!

The assorted glasses and plates jumped off the table they had been lying on, causing them to accurately mimic the reaction of the gathered humans finishing their meals. Forks weighed down with an abundance of food halted halfway in their journey between piles of delicacies and greedy mouths. Snide comments and whispered conversations came to an offended halt. Not even a breath slipped by the sneering lips of the human magistrates and government officials who crowded General Flamestone’s dining hall.

The only sound that permeated the vast room was the barely constrained rage evident in the heavy breathing coming from the dinner’s host. Gilliam slowly withdrew his hand from the table and flexed his fingers, relaxing the fist. Looking down, he could see the indent left by the blow, which had been strong enough to bend the expensive metals out of which all of the furniture in his estate had been made. Seeing the damage he had done to his own possessions only fueled his frustration, but Gilliam knew that at a snap of his fingers his masons could fix the table good as new. If only this… problem could be dealt with so easily, he thought darkly.

“Could someone please explain to me,” he spoke with forced politeness, “how these mongrels continue to scurry about right under our noses!?!” Gilliam glared slowly at each person at the table, searching for someone brave enough to come forward and admit any personal failure. When, one after another, every single person had averted his glance to the ground, Gilliam felt his rage boil over again.

“Fine,” he said through clenched teeth. “If you want something done right, don’t leave it to fools. All of you, get out of my sight,” he commanded, malice laden on his voice. “I have preparing to do.”

The officials began to exchange confused glances, obviously unsure of whether they should really leave or not. This annoyed Gilliam greatly, with an angry grunt he turned to grab the cowering man sitting next to him around the throat. “Get…OUT!!!” He said as a heave of his muscled arm sent the man flying through the air, landing with a sickening thud in the general direction of the door.

The room cleared of people in what had to have been record time. Gilliam was left alone in the silence, only the sparse remnants of cooked carcasses and the crumpled form of the thrown man kept him company. After a few seconds of deep breaths designed to bring about calmness, Gilliam turned and stalked out of the room, heading for the war room. He had sworn to protect the interests of the Emperor Zelas, and that was exactly what he intended to do. The rebels will fall upon my spear, or my name isn’t Gilliam Flamestone!

OOC: I use italics to denote thoughts and sound effects. It should be fairly easy to differentiate between the two.

*A young Nekomusha wakes up in the middle of the woods. He is wearing some black pants and shirt with a small sword sash on his back. His ears twitch as he comes to his senses*

"Hm?... Where am I?... and... Who am I? I can't remember a thing!" *He looks down at his ninja suit and sash* "Cool, I wonder what they're for..." *He looks at his tail and grabs it. He grins innocently* "Oh, so that's part of me. I must have forgotten alot not to have known that!" *Some humans in armour are coming* "Oh, maby these guys can tell me where I should go. Hey! Excuse me!"

Guard #1: 'What? Hey! It's a Nekomusha ninja!
Guard #2: 'We should take him in for questioning.'
*They walk up to him*
Guard #1: 'Hey, what are the likes of you doing here!?'
"The likes of me? I don't get it... Hey, how come you don't have a tail like me?"
Guard #2: 'We're asking the questions here, whelp!'
Guard #1: 'Why were you sent here? Are you trying to topple our kingdom!?'
"Wha- No, I don't know what you're talking about! I can't remember anything."
Guard #2: 'We surely can't believe him.'
Guard #1: 'Then let's not take the chance!'

*They both bring out their swords, pointing them at the boy* "Can we talk this out?" *They swing at him but he rolls to the side just in time. He jumps up to a tree* "Hey, I didn't do anything!" *The guards start hacking at the base of the tree* "No, leave me alone!..."

*Something strange happens to the guards as he feels fear. They look around very confused*
Guard #2: 'Where did he go?'
Guard #1: 'Keep looking, he couldn't have gone far.'
*The guards search in a different direction* [They don't see me? But I'm right here in plain sight! Too weird... I should get out of here] *He quietly jumps to the trees in the opposite direction of the guards*

((I'll use [] for thought also, cuz I usually use italics for word emphasis. Also, would this be easier to read with color?))

Isthen, capital of the empire

So, a tower has been destroyed in rockfall, eh? Ok, leave me and fetch me Flamestone. The messenger dashes off. Zelas gets up and sighs. Yesh, these resistance fighters are getting more bothersome by the day. He takes out his buster sword and starts polishing it.

The metal-on-metal chinking that accompanied Gilliam’s stride was music to his ears. The very sound of his footsteps reminded him of power, as though he were capable of crushing marble beneath his boots. Gilliam felt more at home in his armor than he did in the robes he had previously wore. The emperor’s messenger had arrived just as he had finished changing. Gilliam had thanked the man and then sent him off with a new task. Once the captain of the Sky Blades received the message, it would not be long before the battalion could depart to deal with the rebels.

Gilliam paused before he entered the thrown room. He had to relinquish his weapons… a task that always took an inordinate amount of time. Even one of the emperor’s three generals was not allowed to bring weapons before him. Two minutes later and over a hundred pounds lighter, the twin maple doors were opened to grant him entrance.

Upon stepping into the hall, Gilliam spotted his leader polishing his sword. Gilliam walked up to him and then removed his helm before bowing on one knee. “My lord,” he began in the most humble voice he could muster, keeping his eyes fixed on the ground. “You are the hand and I am your blade. Use me to strike down those who would oppose you.”

Zelas just shakes his head. I try to discourage that sort of thing you know. Meh, no matter. I'm sure you heard of what happened at Rockfall. I need you to go there and collect as much information about who did this as you can. A description would be most helpful. Zelas hands him a bag of gold. Here is your payment for doing this. Now go and find out what you can. May your sword stay sharp. Zelas waves him off.

Sleeping in her cell - 3:30am

Nozz stands in a vast field of wildflowers that stretches for what seems to be forever. A feeling of relief and joy wash over her. She is comfortable here. There is another feeling she is unfamiliar with. It makes her feel as though her chest cavity swells and tingles. She looks up to see a blue sky, lighter then her scales, but still as beautiful. There are white fluffy clouds gently floating above. A warm breeze washes over her from behind. She turns around to find the source of the breeze. Before her stands 2 beings. Both resemble her, but are not like her. One is on 4 legs and covered in the brilliant sapphire scales, but with wings. The other has a large tail instead of legs and its face is similar to her own. Nozz takes a step back. Her eyes and body language sends a clear message to the beings. Who are you she is asking. The 2 beings look back at her confused. "We are..."

There is a loud bang in Nozz's cell. She immediately awakens and leaps to the ceiling by instinct. She slowly creeps down the wall to the door, looking through the barred opening. "It's time to eat Number Twenty Two." Comes a rough burly voice. Nozz realizes that it is the guard. She climbs down from the wall and positions herself against the back wall. "Good girl. Stay there so that I can put your food inside." Nozz knows the drill. She is to place both hands against the back wall and keep her legs shoulder width apart. Although the humans created her and control her, there are many of them that do not trust her. The guard is one of them. He made the mistake of opening the door and then awakening her. He received a scar across his left cheek as a reminder to not do it again. Nozz received a severe beating for attacking the human.

The door creaks open. A pie pan with what looks like leftovers a dog would eat is placed on the ground then slid into the room like the guard was playing shuffleboard. A plastic cup was rolled into the cell as well. The door creaked closed and then there was the loud sound of the lock clicking and the dull thud of the door being barricaded. "Alright Twenty Two, you can eat now." Nozz removes herself from the wall. Rather then eat right away she walks to the door to peak out the opening. "Why do they even try to keep such a dangerous creature. Those scientists and mages must be mad creating something like it, let alone training it and giving it some purpose in life. They should have just destroyed it sooner" he says as he walks down the hallway rubbing his left cheek.

Nozz walks away from the door. Everything is empty again, and she is alone. She picks up the plastic cup and walks it over to the sink. She fills it with water then returns to the pie pan of leftovers. She sits down and begins to eat it quickly. She doesn't want to take the chance that the guard will come back and take it away from her. As she picks up the morsels of food and gags them down she looks around her cell. 10' X 10', stone grey walls, floor and ceiling. In one corner is a pile of straw, this is her bed. It's almost time for fresh straw she thinks. Her gaze goes to the next corner. There is a sink there. The faucet and knobs are very old and rather rusted and only cold water comes out. But it is water to drink and clean with she thinks. Next to the sink is a toilet. At least I don't have to go on the ground. To the next corner is a large plastic tub. On the floor near the tub is a half bar of soap and 2 towels that might have been white once, now they are a dull dingie gray-brown. She looks down at her shirt and back at the tub. Almost time to clean myself and my clothes. Her gaze goes to the last corner. In that corner is her Lucite Bo. It is her only possession. Her mind starts to wander to the day they tried to take that from her. Her collar begins to tighten. She refocuses her thoughts to the food in front of her. The collar loosens.

She finishes the last morsel of food. She drinks her water then picks up the pie pan and walks to the sink. She rinses off the pie pan then places it back at the door. Someone should be by soon to get that. She looks around the dull cell again. A sigh is released as she thinks of what to do next.

She realizes the time and begins to do her daily routine of situps and pushups, followed by katas and practicing with the bo. She is their weapon and must maintain herself and keep herself in proper condition. Her mind starts to drift again while she is climbing the walls. What is that dream about? Why do I keep having it? What is it's meaning and why does it keep happening? Night after night it's the same thing. 2 creatures are trying to tell me something, but what is it? She decides it is best not to dwell on the dream. It is but a dream after all and hold no relevancy to every day life. When she reaches the ceiling she plants her feet firmly a lets herself dangle down. She stretches herself out, listening to the pops and clicks her body makes as everything fits back into place. She curls herself back up and returns herself to the floor.

She walks back to her straw bed and sits down with her back against the wall as she stares at her hands. Her thoughts drift back to her mentor. He was kind, even to her, although she is a monster to everyone else. That warm tingly feeling starts to come back to her. She banishes the thought in fear that she won't be able to breathe again.

OOC: Blast, school now. I'll post more when I get the chance.

"My liege," Gilliam replied with an almost offended air. "Your very goodwill itself is payment enough for your servant. Of course, a little extra gold never hurt anyone,” he conceded, greedily grasping for the bag. “I can assure your highness that those responsible will be held accountable.”

With a bow Gilliam left the thrown room, stopping to pick up his pilfered weapons. Their comforting weight at his side, he felt ready for anything.

Several minutes later and Gilliam had reached the imperial pegasus stable. He was pleased to see that the Sky Blades were already assembled and, from the looks of them, eager to spill some rebel blood. That was good, because the way things were developing it seemed like they were going to get that opportunity.

Zelas smiled. You know what, I'm bored. I think I'll follow my general. He shifts into a Raven and flies off, following Flamestone.

Oh, crap. Well, looks like it's time to get my ass whooped. Yes? Jack! That was foolish, reckless, and very dangerous! You could have DIED! But I didn't, did I? Chill, dude, everything is going to be fine. Now where's my Whiskey? Hey Jo! You bet me a box of whiskey that I wouldn't dare to blow myself off that tower, so where's my drinks? Some random person walks over with a case and hands it to Jack, mumbling about it the whole time. Later on, Jack will admit that he shouldn't have drank all of it that night.
Demecas

*demecas Sits in the back of a cage that is entering a new town. She is a very well trained slave. She doesn't even flinch when she is hit or whiped. other slaves in the cart whisper about freedom and a plan to escape but she just sits there at the back of the cage. her eyes are as if they lost the life in them a long time ago. as she sits there her mind wanders back to her last master.*

Demecas *a soft young female voice calles.* Demecas wil you please come here.

Demecas: Yes My master. *she walks directly to the young girl.

Girl: Call me sasha not master. you know I hate it when you call me that.

Demecas: I'm sorry young master Sasha but The Master has ordered me not to call you that. I must follow his orders above all else.

Sasha: I hate daddy for that. Why must you be a slave? Why do we have to have slaves? It makes me sick to even think of it.

Demecas: I'm sorry Master Sasha But I do not know the answer to that.

Sasha: Are you happy Dema. I mean are you happy being a slave.

Demecas: I don't understand the question Master sasha.

Sasha: They really put a number on you didn't they Dema. I am going to fight against this when i get older. So when I free the slaves what are you foing to do. Will you still be my friend.

Demecas: I am sorry Master sasha I really don't know I don't think of things like that. (she really doesn't). All I know is I'm here to serve.

*her day dream moves to later that day. rebels attack the house and kill the family including Sasha. They claimed to be there to free the slaves of their servitude. All the slaves left except for Demecas. She went along doing her normal tasks and even cleaned up the place as much as she could before the town enforcers arrived. They questioned her for days and took advantage of her in every possable way. Soon she was baught by a local merchant heading to the capital. her day dream ends as she sits down at the back of the cage. She hears an explotion as she see's a figure get blown off a building in the city. Then the builiding colapses. a big chunks of the building fall onto the carivan. the whole caravan except for her small portion of the cage was crushed and killed. again she was the only one that survived yet she just sat there.*

((You people are up WAY to early. BTW, Nozz should be treated as a weapon of the Empire. The Emperor or General should make use of her. All she will do is sit in her cell until someone comes to get her. She does not have..."FREE" thought.))

Nozz's cell is within the stables of which the pegasus reside, she is after all a pet, slave, tool, weapon for the humans.

Nozz's concentration is broken as she hears rustling outside her cell. She walks over to the thick oak door and climbs on it a bit to be able to look out the opening. A flash of bright crimson passes by. She recognizes the smell. It's her superior officer, General Flamestone. He must be heading out on a mission. Oh I hope he takes me. It's been a while since I left my room. I am craving some action.

The hanging sun's light reflected off the stone of pristine imperial stables in almost an offensive manner, blinding Gilliam as he approached. Unable to see, he almost plowed into the man who stood in the road, obviously waiting for his arrival. Squinting through the glare, Gilliam was unable to make out who it was... until he began speaking.

"Esssteemed Flamestone," the man greeted him. The hissed 's' sound immediately told Gilliam the man's identity, which in turn immediately soured his mood. The man was Valter Shadeheart, a fellow general of the Imperial army. Although not near as strong as Gilliam physically, Valter had developed a close affinity with the dangerous ways of dark magic, making him quite a force to be reckoned with. As a person, Valter was clever and calculating, which contrasted greatly with the outbursts of anger Gilliam often displayed.

Gilliam sighed inwardly at Valter’s appearance. The man was a magic wielder, which meant he couldn’t be trusted. All three of the Emperor’s generals (Gilliam, Valter, and Selena Bloodlake) were theoretically on very steady ground as far as their rank was concerned. The trio of army leaders thus had no real reason as to why they found themselves constantly in competition with one another, always trying to outperform each other in order to gain the approval of their emperor. The only thing Gilliam knew was that he had to make sure Valter didn’t try and steal this assignment from him. The last thing he needed was a party of pansy magic users stealing his glory.

“Shadeheart,” Gilliam nodded to the other general. “You have come to see me off? How thoughtful of you…”

“Your sssarcasssm assside, what you sssay is true; I have come to sssee you off. What’sss more, I have a gift for you.”

Gilliam made no attempt to cover his surprise at this development. He looked into Valter’s sunken eyes and tried to determine what exactly the shorter man was up to, but he was met with little success. “Very well then. I will be glad to accept you… gift. But you must make haste, for I am soon to depart.”

Valter attempted a smile and achieved a sneer. “Not to worry, you present liesss in the ssstable. Come. I will show it to you...”

Before Valter could lead the way, Gilliam began walking to the stable without warning, ensuring that he would be in front. “Fine,” he said, as though speaking to an inferior, offhandedly making a somewhat dismissive gesture with his hand. “So be it.”

A couple minutes later Gilliam passed the cell and just kept walking. It wasn’t until he realized that Valter’s footsteps were no longer echoing his own that he turned to see the magic general standing by the door, ordering a guard to open it. Gilliam returned to the cell just in time to hear the guard command the inhabitant of the room to stand back, and then the door was slid open. Peering into the relative darkness, Gilliam tried to make out what creature stood inside. Met with little success, he half turned to Valter and asked, “What is it?”

Ok, we need some supplies. And from what I hear, the good general Flamestone is headed for Rockfall city. It would disgrace him greatly if we stole food and supplies from right under his nose. Get ready to move out, I'll need squads Repo and dagger. The squads start getting their stuff ready. Then they move out, the squads only having 3 people each.

(IIRC dragons communicate by thought so I will use bold for my speech and italics for thoughts. regular quotationmarks for everything else)

I grinned- if indeed a dragon could- just before plunging through the forest canopy. The elders had warned me that such attacks were childish and lacked a certian grace, but I'd learned that more often then not, humans weren't all the bright. They seemed to ignore the threat from above, at any rate. The first few screamed as I raked them with my front claws and my teeth and before they could ready their bows, I was streaking down the path out of range. That should have roughened 'em up. Hope the Empire'll send some more troops out here, I'm starting to like this. Yawning, I swung free of the trees and turned toward the closest mountain. I'd have to do some hunting but that's could wait until after a nap.

"Alright Twenty Two, assume the position." Snarled the guard. "This is the second time I have to open the door this day on this wretched creature" he said rubbing his cheek.

Nozz walked to the back of the cell putting both hands against the wall and legs shoulder width apart with her back to the door. There was a thud as the barricade was removed, then the clanging of the lock, finally followed by the creaking and sliding of the heavy door being opened.

"About face Twenty Two. You have some visitors." Nozz slowly turned around. She knew she was being transfered to General Flamestone but she was careful to not make eye contact with either of the generals. When she turned around completely she immediately stood at attention awaiting her next order.

Before Gilliam stood what could only be classified as a monstrosity to his eyes. While the glimmering sapphire scales would put most in awe, Gilliam did not move. "Announce yourself whelp." the guard commanded.

"My apologies Sir! I am Private Number Twenty Two of the CES forces."

Zelas is outside the place where Flamestone is, disguised as a solder.Hmm, I think I'll join him on this mission. It gets rather stale here. He runs over to Flamestone, pretending to be out of breath. *Huff puff* General Flamestone, I was told by the Emperor's messenger that he wishes me to accompany you on this trip. Here, he told me to give you this as proof. He hands Flamestone a ring with the Emperor's crest on it. At a glance, you can't see what the solder looks like because of the fullface helm he wears.

Gilliam stood silent, staring at the... creature in front of him. Valter stood next to him, obviously awaiting a reaction. On his other side the impudent soldier was still trying to hold out the article of proof he had mentioned when he had rudely interrupted the affairs of two generals. Gilliam let the silence drag out as he considered his options. With both Valter and the… monster watching and judging his every twitch, Gilliam knew that his reaction, whatever it might be, would have a far greater impact than it deserved.

Spinning on his heels, Gilliam turned to face the soldier. “The Emperor’s orders,” he growled in a low, almost inaudible voice, “are not a token with which you can escape decorum.” Gilliam snatched the ring and with one fluid move he tossed it down the hallway over the soldier’s head. “Now, I suggest you get out of my sight and report to Captain Seth, as you should have done in the first place!” Fury just barely restrained had crept into the last of his words, and Gilliam could feel his anger rising.

Forcing himself to stay calm, he turned back to Valter and nodded curtly. “Very well, Shadeheart, I accept your… gift. For the moment I will trust that you did not suffer a lapse in judgment in choosing to endow me with this… creature.”

Before Valter could respond Gilliam spoke to the being. “Come Twenty-Two, we shall depart shortly,” he said commandingly. “Assuming there are no further interruptions.”

"Yes, Sir!" responded Nozz. She grabbed her Bo from the corner, fastened it to her back with a home-made sheathe od sorts and exited her cell. She kept her distance from the General as any good private would. When he came to a stop, she halted and awaited further commands.

Gilliam came to a stop when he finally caught up with Captain Seth. The leader of the Air Blades had only good news to report, and everything seemed in order. 'Bout time something goes right... The two hundred men of the Empire’s finest pegasus knights were already assembled and ready to go. The Air Blades had turned to pegasi as the ideal solution of the problem inherit in the combating of dragons, whose tendency to cling to the skies for protection made them a hassle to fight without airborne units. The pegasi were large enough to carry a normal, fully armored soldier into battle, but still small enough to carry out blazingly fast maneuvers that made targeting them with fireballs and claws nearly impossible.

After a short exchange of words with Captain Seth, Gilliam left the stables common area. He beckoned for #22 to follow, and without checking to see if she was still behind him he passed through a series of doors that led to a private housing area. In the middle of the room, adorned in the finest armor the Empire could provide, stood an eager, dark gray wyvern. The small dragon was about 25 feet from head to tail and it shook with anticipation. Even after several years of their presence in the Imperial Army, Gilliam still did not enjoy the prospect of using mind-controlled wyverns as transportation. Despite his feelings though, the fact remained that when fully prepared for war, Gilliam was far too heavy for a pegasus to carry. Valter had assured him that the beast’s mind had been completely destroyed, wiped away and replaced with one resembling that of a dog; smart enough to do its job and perfectly loyal. The only problem was that Gilliam trusted Valter far less than the distance he could easily throw the creepy little man.

Before mounting the wyvern whose name Gilliam had forgotten, he turned to the creature following him. “Get on,” he commanded gruffly, pointing a gauntleted finger at the wyvern’s back where a four-seat saddle was firmly strapped in place.

OOC: Sigh, I feel so lonely... I'm going to have to keep making up characters I can say are on my side.
ginpu

((The bad guys usually are small in population))

Nozz nodded at the general. She promptly climbed into the furthest back seat so as to not make the general uncomfortable.

She was briefed about his gruff behavior and his hatred of non-humans as well as some other details. She already knew he didn't seem sure of what she was capable of, she would just have to show him.

"Permission to speak, Sir!"

The general didn't even turn to look at her. He nodded his head yes and grunted.

"May I be briefed on what my mission this run will entail?"
Demecas

*The sky starts to darken as the burning building still roars. Demecas has sat in the same place with the smell of fresh blood of the dead around her. Even as the building crumbles nearly hitting her several times she still doesn't move an inch. Many people have gathered around to see the tragity. Many whisper on how she must be a witch or a demon but she doesn't respond. A villager even throws a rock Hitting her in the head. The rock bounces off as if it his concreat. the only way anyone realized that it hurt her was that there was blood now trickling down her face. But still she didn't move.*
Durandal

"Your mission?" Gilliam echoed with a harsh bark of laughter. "You don't have a mission yet. The only thing I need you to do right now is to not fall off until we reach Rockfall City. Once we get there... I'll give you something to do. I'm sure there will be plenty of rebels who need killing." Along with their arrows that need expendable targets to puncture...

Gilliam found it amusing that the creature could speak passably. Apparently the thing wasn't as stupid as he had first assumed. With any luck he would be able to thank Valter after this was all over for the gift. Granted, that would mean he would have to admit Valter's superiority. Maybe I should just stick to bricks thrown through his windows...

After Gilliam had finished talking he used the reins to whip a command to the wyvern. Without hesitation it jumped into the air, unfurled its wings, and rocketed through the stable's wide door.
ginpu

Nozz nodded in response to the general's words. "I will do my best, sir."

Luckily this was not Nozz's first time flying on a mount. The wyvern was a little more jarring then the others though and this caused her to shift momentarily in her seat. She didn't mind flying, she almost felt at home with it. Although she preferred no saddle as this thing was crunching her tail. But she would not complain. She was being used.

As the wyvern flew through the air Nozz stared down at the world below. Here and there she saw little spots of light. Perhaps a campfire or a streetlamp. Nozz felt at peace which is something she doesn't feel often. Calm and relaxed. The feel of the air flowing between her toes and through her hair brought her to a state one could only call euphoric. Nozz however can't make sense of what that feeling is.

Onward they flew into the dawning sky.
Durandal

Gilliam tried to keep his breathing as calm as he could, but it was a losing battle. Inside his gauntlets his knuckles had turned white from the pressure of his grip on the wyvern's reins. Although he kept his gaze as straightforward as possible, there was no way to avoid it: the ground was a long, long way away.

Having lived his whole life on the ground, Gilliam had come to the irritating realization upon his first visit to the Imperial castle's rooftops that he was deathly afraid of heights. Tall buildings were bad enough, but when sitting upon seemingly nothing but the hopes that frail wings could beat their way through the air and keep him aloft, Gilliam was faced with a new kind of terror.

Unfortunately, air travel was the only way to safely travel long distances swiftly, the only way, that is, excluding teleportation. And Gilliam refused to beg Valter for his sorcery, exposing his weakness to everyone. So, the only alternative was to put up with clawing fear that gripped him every time he took to the skies.

((This part's for your, GH...))

As General Flamestone and his escort of pegasus knights neared Rockfall City, the group's vanguard was already arriving. Twelve of the unit's finest scouts had been sent on ahead to determine the situation on the ground. Four of the knights, the best hand-to-hand fighters, landed their pegasi in the town square. While the other eight circled above as protection, the grounded Air Blades observed the rubble of what had, until recently, been the city's capital building. They were clearly waiting for some representative of Rockfall City's human government to appear so they could learn more as to what exactly had happened and how the rebels could be best combated.

((If that's too far GH, like you want to spring a trap or something, just go ahead and interrupt those events at any point.))
Spirit Wolf

When Firestone landed, Jack was on top of a nearby building. Excellent, ok you know the drill, you hear the trap go off, you start. Time to mess with some imperial tin cans. Jack stands up, still wearing his cloak, and tosses a rock at Firestone. Oi! You there! Tin can! I bet you're looking for me! I'm the one who blew this place up! Ya want me? Then try to catch me! He takes off, jumping off the building and onto the ground, running for the cliff. Firestone and company take chase, and suddenly Jack stops at the cliff side, looking from side to side, apperantly in a panic. Then he turned around and smiled. Got you! Suddenly there's magic shockwave bombs going off, sending men and pegasi everywhere. Flamestone was slightly ahead of a bomb and was blown off the cliff, but Nozz and the wyvern fell short of the edge. Jack sees Gilliam fly over the cliff and was about to walk away when he suddenly stops, something in his heart telling him to save Gilliam, that he has a destiny to fulfill. Damn it, I know I'll regret this! He turns around and jumps off the cliff, changing into his true form, dives straight down, and catches Gilliam in mid air.
ginpu

((It's Flamestone. Hey let me in here for a piece of the action!!!))

Before Jack even had that gut feeling Nozz had already dove off the cliff speeding down to catch her superior officer. She suceeded in grabbing his arm. "Hold on Sir" she shouted. She reached on with her unhindered hand to grab the cliff face. The falling began to slow itself. She then kicked her legs forward to make contact with the cliff face. The falling ceased. "Ngh!" she struggled to keep her grip on him. She relinquished her other hand from the cliff face and used it to better hold onto the general. "Please sir pull yourself up and hold onto me. I will get us back up top." Nozz waited for the general to react to her request.

While she waited she saw a gold blur dive right past them. *blink* *blink* I wonder what that was..."
Durandal

Gilliam (Flamestone) grabbed for Twenty-Two's other hand, but then made the mistake of looking down. Past his boots he could see thousands of feet of empty air and rocks like teeth waiting to chew him to shreds. Inside his helm Gilliam was blinking furiously as he tried to stop the blurring and spinning of vertigo.

Swearing rapidly under his breath Gilliam tried to do as his savior had requested. His gaze kept shifting downward though, and his arms refused to do as he willed them.

"I- I- I can't!" he finally admitted in a half furious/half terrified outburst. "Just go! Leave me!"
GaryWilliams

I heard someone in trouble and since I had nothing to do, I made my way to them. Landing nearby, I walked along a narow path until I came across the person. A member of the cat race- I wondered how I knew that since I hadn't know what a cat was a few minutes prior- had gotten it's claws stuck in a tree limb, Need some help?
Spirit Wolf

Jack flies back up to Gilliam and Nozz. Hopeless, completely hopeless. Let me help you, or I can just let you fall and die. Not even waiting for an answer, he grabs them both and glides to the bottom of the cliff, dropping them onto some soft grass. Then he shifts back. he no longer has his cloak, revealing the dragon mark on his arm, which all dragons have when in a different form. Well now that I saved you sorry butts, I'm outta here. he turns around and starts to leave.
BlackBlade

*Kyle was lost, he had never been off a road, let alone not by himself. He walked over a hill and in front Kyle laid a city or what was left of it.* "Halt" the voice came from an imperial private dressed in red his Lieutenant and dressed in blue standing next to him. *Kyle stop instantly at that command and stood at attention. The two guards circled him inspecting him from head to toe. "show us your papers" The private said *Kyle handed them over to the private. The Lieutenant grabbed the walking stick and inspected it. Kyle was ready for what happened next. The Lieutenant swung the walking stick slamming it into Kyle's bad knee. From all the years of his former master doing this to him on what seamed to be hourly routine, Kyle felt nothing in his knee but learn to fall down anyways, cause worse things would follow if he didn't. "You shouldn't do that." "Why not it's just a Neko?" "One that's protected by the Emperor" "Well it's not like the Emperor going to find out about this." The Lieutenant steped on Kyle's knee to emphasize the point. Kyle did a fake whimper. "What about the Capt?" "He won't find out about this" "I Won't? Private escort the Lieutenant to the jail to await trial." The Capt. saw the whole thing happen. He looked at his Lieutenant with disgust. The Capt. Handed back Kyle's walking stick and helped him up "You should get going." *Kyle nodded and slowly set off towards the city* [That went well, not too bad at all.]
Demecas

*she turns her head to the ninja*

Trouble?

What do you mean troublem?

I was told to sit in the back of the cage until told to do otherwise. So thats what I'm doing. Most the cage and the people around are gone now but I must still follow what I'm told.

*Blood trickles down the right side of her face and cheek. her eyes seamed void of life. as if she was nothing more then a puppet. No free will of her own.*
Zymeth

((Erm... I'm confused again, is GW with me? I think those were his non-verbal thoughts/actions. And I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in ninja clothes, but my claws are stuck in the tree, so I'm not near Dema... I'll assume he's with me and edit later if I need to))

*Still dangling from the tree branch* "Oh, yea, could you? I was getting down from this tree, and I grabbed the branch, but then I got my claws in it, and now they're stuck cuz I can't make them go back in while I'm hanging from them... Hey, you look different than me, ((intentional bad grammar)) but you don't look like those guys in metal suits either... So, there are different kinds of people?... That's... so cool!- Ow, it's starting to hurt."
ginpu

((Zy I believe GW is coming to you. He did say "had gotten it's claws stuck in a tree limb." That would be you. Plus GW is a dragon. Someone needs to go to Demecas already, she is out there, alone BLEEDING... and doesn't know any better...if I hadn't chosen the empire...))

Nozz stared at humanoid before her for a moment, she wasn't sure what to make of him. She didn't know what the mark was, but she knew he was responsible for their fall. She quickly regained her thoughts and jumped in front of the general. She spun her bo around and to her right side keeping it close to her body, but ready. She held her left arm in front to deflect or block any possible attacks. Her feet were spread wide and her knees were bent. She stood there ready for any possible attack.

"Your orders, Sir?" She said.
Durandal

((Come on Ginpu, you know your glad you joined me on the evil side .)

Gilliam (Flamestone) attempted to regain his composure and he cleared his throat slowly, his hand still trembling slightly. “Orders… yes,” he nodded, his mind quickly recovering its normal functions. “At ease, private,” he commanded, his decision finally made.

“Hear this, rebel,” he yelled after the retreating figure of the dragon. “Because of your… kindness,” he said with a sneer, “you will be allowed to run away this time. Next time, you shan’t be so lucky. I don’t want to see your face again in Imperial territory, you hear me? Never again!” Gilliam sighed with annoyance and shook his head. He knew it wouldn’t be that easy, and he had a feeling that the two of them would be seeing a lot of each other in the foreseeable future.

That problem finally diffused, Gilliam turned to look at the CES who had ended up saving his life without regard of her own safety. Even though he hated to admit it, Valter’s last minute gift had proved to be indispensable. For the first time since he had met #22 at the stable, Gilliam looked at her as an actual being and not just a disposable commodity.

I, uh… commend you for your quick-thinking there,” he said to #22 awkwardly, glad that none of his human soldiers were there. “Ok, listen up,” his tone switched from being more personal, but it didn’t become as terse as a commanding officer’s should have been. “I need you to do me a favor. You must never speak of what happened on the side of the cliff. Do you understand Twenty- uh, Two… say, do you have a nickname you go by?”
Spirit Wolf

Jacks ears prick up. He smiles, then quickly pulls out a dagger and throws it towards Gilliam at a very fast speed, it flies by, nicking his ear before hitting the tree behind him. I promise that next time... I won't miss. You'll also be mad to know that the med and food supplies in this town are gone. Bye. He steps into the darkness, disappearing from view.
Durandal

The knife clanged uselessly off of Gilliam's full helm.

He thought to himself, no, I won't be mad. I really don't care about this town, and that's the price they pay for letting rebels gain such a strong presence in this region.

He waited for #22's reply.
BlackBlade

[This place is the pits] *Kyle thought as he limped through the city. Every seemed a little off kilter not at him but at the events that had happened over the past few days, two attacks on the city. One happening just before he entered the city. He came across a cage with one slave sitting. Her head was bleeding, and those eyes, Kyle knew those eyes all too well, those were the eyes of someone who had their will repressed by control spells. Kyle walked up to the cage.* "Excuse me miss, but I have been sent to collect you." *Kyle was lying, he had no idea what he was going to do now but he couldn't leave her there. She needed help.*
ginpu

Upon hearing at ease, Nozz straightened her knees and placed both hands behind her back allowing the bo to rest against the inside of her elbow. This showed she was unarmed.

"Thank you, Sir. If it is your order, I shall not speak of this incident to anyone, even under threat of death." she said, still maintaining her at ease position.

When he asked if she had a nickname, her hard face softened a little. "Nickname? Why..." She stared blankly as this was a little confusing to her. She is a weapon, and instrument, no one else ever asked her such a question. Her head lowered for a moment. She raised it back up. "My mentor used to call me Nozz. He said it was nicer then calling me a number. Though I still don't understand what he meant."

"Sir, the battle is up there" she points up the cliff. "I can climb us both back up there if that is your order."

((OOC: A tiny bit of Ginpu history. When I was 19 [and stupid] I decided to join the ranks in the US Army. The guy I loved at the time was in the Marines for 3 more years. I joined the Army for 3 years to pass that time away. I did make it through Basic training, and partially through AIT. After realizing that my decision to join was not for the right reasons I requested to be discharged. [there's more detail to that] Anyways, so I can actually RP this military thing easily due to real life experience. OK enough OOC))

AND THEN I HIT PREVIEW AND SEE JACK DID SOMETHING SO HERE IS MY REACTION....

Just as Nozz finished pointing up she caught the blur of the dagger zip by. She attempted to deflect it but was too slow. Nozz immediately rearms herself. She sees that the being melted into the shadows."I should not have let my guard down. I am sorry Sir!" She cringes a little inside expecting to be punished for not protecting her superior.
Spirit Wolf

((And because I feel that Zelas ain't gettin no lovin))

Zelas is in the tree that Gilliam and Nozz was by. Hmm, very interesting, very interesting indeed. Time to talk with my general. He shifts into his human form. Oi! Pleasant evening, isn't it. How does the day find ya General Flamestone? He's chewing on a stick he broke off.
Durandal

((A tinier bit of Jon history than Ginpu's history. I have no real world experience of any sort beyond bagging at a grocery store and working at a karate dojo. ))

'Nozz,' huh? Gilliam nodded thoughtfully. He could see in his mind where the name had come from, and he enjoyed the wittiness of it. Before Gilliam had time to assure Nozz that she wasn't at fault, an all too familiar voice called out from the tree behind them. Haven't I suffered enough? Gilliam wondered mentally.

"Your majesty," he began, turning slowly and deliberately to face the source of the voice. "I had been wondering when you were going to choose to reveal yourself. I hope I passed your little test earlier..." Gilliam stepped closer to the tree and removed his helm.

"My humblest of apologies, my liege, but even though I recognized your voice, you were trying to appear as a normal soldier. Your three generals are bound by the Laws of your army, and they explicitly lay out the chain of command and the proper methods of communicating between them. Since you were breaking the very set of Laws that you created, I reckoned that your goal was to test my resolve. So... did I pass?"
Spirit Wolf

Zelas looks very angry for a tense minute, then bursts out laughing. Ah, You certainly know me too much. He drops out of the tree, still chewing on the stick. So then, who was your new friend? He doesn't seem the type you usually stick around with, and knock it off with all the 'my liege' and 'your majesty'. we've known each other long enough that you don't have to call me that. Oh, pardon my rudeness. He gets up, takes Nozz's hand and kisses it. Hello there, what is your name, pray tell?

((He is a very strange person, no?))
ginpu

((I have 12.something years on you Durandal, and most likely more on others. It is nothing to be ashamed of.))

At the instant Nozz heard the emperor's voice she came to full attention. She held so still you'd think she was a statue. She listened to the conversation between the two. Test? Is this another test and not a chance to do something real? Nozz wondered. The past 20+ years have been nothing but a test for her. Either she was tested or tested on. Her thoughts were quickly changed when she came to the realization of the pain in her left hand. She had not had a chance to check herself yet for any damages. She would just have to wait a bit longer before she could fix the situation.

((Again I hit preview and see GH posting, LOL. yeah so here's the post to follow him))

Nozz was stunned when the emperor touched her hand ((I am going with he kissed the right hand and not the left)) let alone laid his lips to it, someone so high and pristine touched something as low and dirty as her. She felt funny about it, but couldn't classify the feeling. She shoved it to the back of her mind. When the emperor released her hand she quickly brought it to a salute. "Sir! I am Private Number Twenty Two of the CES forces.Sir!"

((and good night))
Demecas

*Demecas stands up slowly and walks over to Kyle*

I understand.

*she turns to what seams to be nothing at all and bows.*

I'm sorry we can't chat any longer but It looks as if I am to be of service to a new master.

*she turns back to kevin at this point beleives that the hit to her head that caused her to bleed a bit has made her a bit delirious.*

*Her eyes are completely void of will. A part of her shirt falls off of her back revealing many scars and places where fur never grew back from her torucher of being turned into a perfectly loyal slave. The only magic used in this form or tourcher is magic that doesn't allow the victum to pass out for any reason so that they can experiance great amounts of pain. Tha magic also doesn't allow them to die from the pain either.*

I am here to serve great guard of the empire.
BlackBlade

((My char name is Kyle for this RP. I know it's confusing but live with it.))

"Okay then, come along"

*Kyle thought as he walked/limped [Either a rather large rock hit her or she gone insane, One is more easily treated then the other.] Kyle's mind wandered about life back at the house. He personally didn't have that many scars but some of the others did. He did how ever have his knee. [So now where, can't leave the city with her following me]*

"So do you have name? You can call me, Kyle."
Durandal

"Heh heh, yes your majes- err, sir. Hmm, old habits do die hard, as they say," Gilliam chuckled nervously, glad to see that the emperor was in such a good mood.

"This," he said pointing to Nozz, "is Valter's addition to my forces. She goes by the codename 'Nozz,' and has proven herself quite useful up to this point. I'm certain she will continue to be so as we purge the rebels from your land. And my new 'friend,' seems to be the leader of the local malcontents. He put on quite the welcome show..." Gilliam looked woefully at the cliff they had fallen from.

"So praytell, Emperor Zelas, why have you decided to join us here?"
Demecas

*she looks up at kyle as the blood starts to flow over her right eye.*

My Name is Demecas, But I have also been called Dema, Slave, Slut, Whore, witch, (she goes on as the names she has been called by different masters and tamers gets worse and worse.)

In the end my name means nothing. I am what ever you wish to call me. *she said this with no sadness or emotion in her voice at all.*
BlackBlade

*Kyle tore off a piece of his pants and wraps it around Demecas' head* "Hopefully that will stop the bleeding, Dema. Judging from your eyes and scars, I take it you have been a slave all your life. I have been a slave going on 14 maybe 15 years now." *Kyle found what looking for it was a slave from the city. "Hey you" The slave stoped "Did you see anything strange last night, and tell the truth." *The slaves eyes became cloudy* "Yes sir, a large number of people, by that wall." *he pointed over his shoulder* "Thank you, you may go back to your business" *The slave ran off.* "This way, Dema."
Spirit Wolf

Why am I here? Do you know how stale it gets just sitting around listening to the complaints of nobles? I need to leave the palace every once and a while to keep my sanity, not that there's much left, eh? Zelas chuckles. Anyway, I think I know who that was. He goes by the name of Jack, and he's the second-in-command of the resistance. Not a bad poker player either, I hear. Zelas looks up the cliff. Wow, I'm surprised you're not out like a light. You and the sky don't really mix, now do ya? There's an elevator nearby we can use to get back up there, unless you'd like me to fly you up there? He chuckles again.
Demecas

*demecas Pulls the make shift bandage off her head bows to kyle and hands it back to him*

I'm Sorry sir I'm not allowed to accept gifts of any sort.

*the bandage is covered in blood and in her hands streched out to him as she bows respectfully.*

Yes I have been in the service of different masters since I was born. From serving to Mating and reproduction to increase the slave counts in various places.

*her voice still shows no sences of emotion or the abuility to lie.*
GaryWilliams

I'm not gonna ask how you managed to do that. I moved closer, and climbed the tree below him, If you sat on my shoulders I should be able to life you up so you can use your other hand. I'm Piper, by the way. What's your name?
BlackBlade

*Kyle felt like slamming his head into a wall, but he too, was 'trained' to hide his emotions as a slave.* "It wasn't a gift, Dema, I was hoping to stop your bleeding, I don't want you losing too much blood. And I can't use magic to heal you cause of the null spells I was placed under. So I'm not telling to you have to but it's highly recommended."

((Woot! 200 posts))
Dr. Salem

A shadow flew overhead the city of Rockfall, circling the sky as if it was a vulture. But for a slight second, it's body stood still in the air; its eye looking at the direction of the bottom of a large cliff where three entities resided. The creature dove suddenly to the cliff bypassing a dragon and shooting into the bush. It's blood red wings disappeared into dust., while a human foot emerged from the bush, alerting the entities.
Demecas

*demecas looks at it.*

Very well.

*she puts the bandage back on her head.*

*she just stands there a few paces behind Kyle when Kyle moves she follows him but always stays a few paces behind him. She makes sure she down't touch him or gets in his way.
She only speaks when spoken to.*
Zymeth

((To clarify, he's not in the stick pose I drew him in, he's hanging by both hands with nothing under his feet))

"That would work. And, my name... Well, I woke up and couldn't remember, but I like the name Robby." *He completely ignores that fact* "So, what are you, and what were the armored people with no fur or tails, and... I actualy don't remember what anything is really."
BlackBlade

*Kyle had searched the wall looking for someway through it but found nothing. [They most likely cast spells to hide it, stupid drag......Stupid me, dragons they flew over the wall.] Kyle shook his head, there went plan 'A' and he knew that he couldn't jump over it by getting on top of the houses and jumping from there. So on to plan 'C' Kyle looked through the documents that the old man had given him. He went through about half most of the saying he was delivering a massage to someone in a city. Then he struck gold, it was a slave transfer request that was just vague enough to work.* "Come on Dema, we have to leave this city, As soon as I find the gate." *They wonder through the city. Dema was staying the normal distance away from him and was deathly quite. This got him thinking about his own life just a short while ago. And how he was required to do the same. It just never felt right to Kyle. They reached the gate and Kyle was relieved to that the person guarding the gate was the private that stopped Kyle in the woods earlier. "You again? You delivered your message then?" "Yes, sir. And here are my new orders" *Kyle handed over his papers. The guard read it, looked at Kyle, then looked back at the papers, then looked at Dema.* "So you are suppose to take her to New Port City. That seems pretty far." "I just follow my orders, and she follows mine....Sir." "Do you have her papers?" "No, sir... they were..." "Destroyed in the tower collapse?" "Yes, sir." "Okay, get a move on you got a long trip." "Come Dema." *They left the city, the guard didn't even realize that they headed off in the wrong direction. Once they got far enough away Kyle spoke again. "Dema, come up here next to me, I need to keep an eye on you." *He wait until she was close to him* "So, Dema, have you ever had any thoughts of freedom?"
Durandal

"NO!" Gilliam cried, shaking his head emphatically. "No more flying... I think an elevator sounds like a grea-"

Gilliam's words cut off when ((the events of Salem's post here)). For a short time Gilliam stared at the newcomer, attempting to determine his intentions, but there was nothing to be learned from his expression. There was a slight shing as Gilliam pulled out his giant lance and held it in ready position. Remembering Nozz, the general turned to the experimental soldier and said, "Get ready for anything, private."

With the emperor's safety in mind, Gilliam positioned himself in between Zelas and the man approaching them. "Hail," he called out. "What business brings you here, dragon?"
Spirit Wolf

I don't think it's the dragon we should be talking to. Look at it, it's slowly decaying, though you can barely notice it. No, I think we have a Naga here. Show yourself! He pulls out his buster sword, grinning as he expects the worst.
Demecas

((OOC just got home.))

*demecas watches as Kyle searches for some way to get out thru the wall. She can see the door perfectly but says nothing due to the fact she wasn't told to help. She follows him thru the town and the main gate past the guard that seamed to be oblivious to everything around him. Soon he asked her a question that was more then unexpected. something in her eyes changed for a second but faded quickly*

Freedom sir, No Sir I wouldn't dare think of that. My only purpouse is to serve. I have no other reason behind my exzistance. *she says with no emotions*
ginpu

"Yes, Sir!" Nozz quickly and seamlessly goes from attention to at arms. A low squatted stance, bo against the right side, left arm bent in front ready to deflect or reach the other side of the bo, which ever would be needed first.

Nozz stares into the bush trying to discern the shape of the creature. She had heard the term naga before, but was never taught about the other races, they were simply all animals.
Dr. Salem

The dragon walks out of the bush and forward, stops, and slowly rotating it's head to crack it, then looking towards the emperor.

Calm yourselves gentlemen, I come here on business if you will allow me to speak... err, talk through your minds. You see, I am a bounty hunter merely wishing to help you on your conquest. A mind wave spoke to them.

Naga or not, you require someone or something to help you track down those who did this to your precious tower. With the help of my assistant Xilas, I believe we can solve this matter quite easily. I will not however, reveal my identity for my own reasons
Spirit Wolf

Zelas thinks for a bit, hiding his thoughts from the guy. I wouldn't exactly call the tower precious. As for your offer, I'll have to decline seeing as how I never hire someone I've never seen before. If you'll excuse me, we must be off, I have other matters to attend to and my friends here probably need something to eat. Good day. To Gilliam and Nozz he says: Lets get something to eat, on me.
ginpu

Nozz stands awaiting her commander's next orders. "Sir?" she asks as she sees both him and the emperor standing there as if there are listening, but she hears nothing. She stands her ground and stares at the...animal.

Lovely humans, blocking telepathy to make sure she doesn't think twice.
GaryWilliams

I'm a dragon.I said in a slightly insulted tone. The i realised he had BOTH hands stuck in the tree. Robby, I'm gonna have to put your hand in my mouth. then I can pull you out. the armoured people were likely Empire soldiers, I'd avoid them if I were you.
Dr. Salem

Meet? You expect me to meet someone out in the open where the whole world would kill me as soonas they see me? I'm willing to sacrifice my assistant, but not myself. Would you prefer the illusion of Xilas talking? Or to change your mind, would you like to see what I can offer? I will not take no for an answer... this provides many opportunities for both me and you. The wave boomed.
Spirit Wolf

Well now, what exactly CAN you offer to an Emperor? It'd have to be something special I assure you. Zelas looks amused. He takes out a rag and starts cleaning some blood off his blade, apparently he was in a fight earlier.
Durandal

((Heh heh... 'bowlth'))

Gilliam blinked in surprise at the emperor's decision and ig. "I- your majesty, are you sure? I don't mean to question you, but if the rebels were to hire this mercenary? Surely we have the resources to at least pay him to stay out of the conflict that will assuredly follow?"

As a side note Gilliam turned to Nozz and said, "At ease, private. You should know a mercenary won't attack a potential client. Didn't they teach you that in... well, where ever you were trained?" Gilliam was mildly surprised at her ignorance about mercenaries, but he didn't realize that she hadn't heard the telepathic communication.

((EDIT: Um yeah, I'm slow... This is what Gilliam said earlier, before Xilas spoke up after being turned down...))
Dr. Salem

"Are you familiar with the term inside job?" Xilas finally spoke with a smirk on his face.
Spirit Wolf

Hmm, inside job, eh? Tell you what, you get me the stone of Dragonflame from the resistance, and I'll think about hiring you, hows that? Zelas looks at him, almost daring him to try something.
ginpu

Nozz relaxes and returns to at ease. "No sir. I was not trained to recognize mercenaries. Only to carry out the orders laid before me."

As she stands there she stares at the dragon. [color=darkblue]What is that?[/color] She thinks. She notices the horns and the scales of the dragon and begins to wonder why it reminded her of her dream. Then she got to thinking about that dream again. So many strange things happening today that she just can't figure out. Her mind started to cloud with doubt. Her vision itself was beginning to get cloudy.

Suddenly she fell to her hands and knees. She was gasping for air and had her hands on the collar trying to give her trachea room for air to flow through. She quickly banished the thoughts as she kneeled there on the ground coughing and gasping for air.
Dr. Salem

"Excellent. I will contact with information if I find any. That dragon that I passed by earlier will be of some use. I'll merely say I fought you, lost and request training and join the ranks." Xilas spoke before lifted his now returned wings and flew off after the second in command.

*A mile away in the clocktower overlooking the town of rockfall*

A leg bone dropped from the rafters of the clock tower, attracting the attention of a lone guard. A droplet of blood landed on his forehead, to which his index finger and middle finger sampled. A look of fright engulfed the mans face before he looked up again to see devious, yellow eyes. The sight maddened him, even causing foam to escape his mouth.

Within moments, all that was left of the guard was his sword and a pile of blood where he stood.
BlackBlade

"You have got to be kidding me. The slave I free is most likely the only one that doesn't dream of freedom" *Kyle gathers himself and clams down* "Well Dema, I don't know how to tell you this but your free from human control. But you should stick with me, you'll need some help." *He waits for Dema's reply and reaction*
Zymeth

"Okay, so you're a dragon, and those guys were Imperial guards or something..." *Robby got a look of confusion and surprise on his face* "You have to do what now!?"

((Please just do it, I've been stuck here for days))
Durandal

"Hmm, that's not very thorough," Gilliam replied to Nozz, thinking about how he could use this against Valter somehow. "Well, we'll just have to make sure you learn- Nozz?"

Gilliam kneeled down next to her (not an easy task for someone in all that armor) and pounded a fist on her back. "Breathe, soldier!" When it appeared that she was starting to catch her breath again, he asked her, "What was that all about?"

EDIT: WTF? "pounded a chest on her back?" That doesn't even make sense!
Spirit Wolf

Zelas looks at Nozz, his face revealing his worry. No time for that now, we should go to the city. We'll eat, talk, and rest there. Here, let me help you. He picks Nozz up and heads for the elevator, with Gilliam right behind him.
Demecas

*Demecas looks at Kyle confused for a second then bows her head.* I understand Master. I'll serve you the best that I can. my life is yours now.

*she stands there with her head down facing Kyle as a slave would to a master not allowed to look at his face or into his eyes.*
ginpu

"I...this...thoughts...free...pain..." Her eyes begin to roll up into her head. She fights to keep from the blackness, but even trying to answer those questions was enough to keep the collar constricting. She went limp in the emperor's arms. He could see that she was still breathing as he could hear her breaths.

Nozz awakens to find herself in a field of wild flowers once again. She feels comfortable here, safe. She feels the tingling feeling again. She still can't figure out what it is that is causing that feeling. The sky is still blue as ever. Clouds as soft as sea foam spot the sky. Nozz turns around before she feels the breeze this time. She still takes an offensive stance as the same creatures approach her. This time there is a 3rd one. Biped. She recognizes it as a human. "I'll ask out loud this time. Who are you?" The 3 beings look back at her. "We are you" they say. "Me? I am just a mere weapon. You are not weapons. You do not look like me." The 3 beings gaze hardens on her. "We are you" they repeat themselves. They begin to walk towards each other and then what appears to be through each other. Nozz stands there with wide eyes. "What the...?" There is a bright flash of light, Nozz covers her eyes. When she reopens them there is only one being standing there silhouetted against the light. Nozz can see a humanoid outline. "I don't understand" she says. "You will soon" it responds. "Now wake up."
BlackBlade

"No...no... my dear Dema, that not wait I mean at all" *Kyle takes a deep breath and thinks about how to explain this.* "I am not your master but your friend, who wants to help, you are your own, I just want you to stay with me so that way I may protect you, and help you through the beginning of your new life." *He wait for moment then remembered something.* "Part of your new life is being able to talk whenever... unless humans are within ear shot. Then you must only speak when spoken to." *This was going to be harder then he thought.*
Spirit Wolf

Wake up! We're here. They're in a tavern. Hey, get me the best beer and food you got! He sets Nozz on a chair. You must be hungry and thirsty. Ah, here's the beer. 3 mugs are set on their table, he hands one to Nozz and the other to Gilliam. Cheers. He drinks half of it in one go.
ginpu

She takes the mug she was handed. "Hrm?" Nozz starts to focus. She's in an unfamiliar place with lots of humans. The emperor and general are with her. "Am I... am I still... dreaming?" she says out loud. As her senses start to come back she can smell all sorts of new smells and hear all sorts of sounds. She blinks a few times as she looks around. "I don't understand." she says aloud.

Zelas taps her mug with his. "You're not dreaming. You are awake. Cheers!" And then he swallows 1/2 the contents of the mug.

"Awake?" She quickly realizes that Zelas isn't lying as some little kid walked by and yanked her tail. Instantly her thoughts went to her bo. She reached for it. "At ease, soldier" says the general. It attacked me! was all she could think, but she listened to her general anyway.

"Permission to speak, sir."
She said.

((and I'll check back in the morning. Hopefully people post before school so I have something to read in the morning. keke))
Demecas

*demecas Looks at him* I don't understand.
*Her eyes seam to have changed a little but not much. there is worry in them confustion and a scared responce.*

Then I must go find a new master. I am not allowed to be this way.

*she turns and starts to walk back towards the town.*
BlackBlade

*Kyle grabbed Dema's arm* "You can't go back to that town, they'll kill you and I can't have that happen." *Kyle's voice changed from a loving and caring voice to a cold and very serious one.* "So you are coming with me."
Demecas

*demecas arm is grabed and she is yanked back8

Very well then master.

*Demecas follows him again, She only spoke when was asked a question*
Durandal

((Sorry, didn't have school today. In fact, I'm completely done with high school. Nothing left but graduation.))

Gilliam sighed as he swirled the contents of his mug. This cheap excuse for an alcoholic beverage was no where near as good as the fine wines stored in his own mansion’s wine cellar. He had no idea why the emperor was so… eccentric in his tastes. Perhaps he simply wanted to try and mingle with the commoners for a while. Gilliam turned in his seat, hearing the creaks and groans of the poor wooden chair as it struggled to maintain its structural integrity under his weight. The other inhabitants of the tavern were a diverse bunch, but invariably they were all keeping an eye on the trio of Imperials. Gilliam sighed with annoyance again. His crimson armor did not lend itself to anonymous excursions amongst the populace.

Upon Nozz’s awakening, Gilliam’s mood lightened a little. Perhaps now we can leave this place. But it seemed that Emperor Zelas intended to stay, at least until all their mugs had been drained. Gilliam sneered into his cup one last time and then threw his head back, chugging the beer. When he slammed the mug back down, it was empty, and Gilliam hoped to the forces that be that he never had to drink another drop of that stuff again.

At his side Nozz suddenly tensed up, probably annoyed with the beer too, Gilliam thought sourly. Then he remembered who she was and reconsidered, well, probably not… “At ease, soldier,” he said placatingly. She asked for permission to speak and Gilliam turned to her, prepared to give her the go ahead. It was at that time, thought, that the chair finally lost the last of its patience and it collapsed with a crack and a crash!

Hooting laughter from all sides of the tavern accompanied Gilliam’s embarrassment, and for a short time he entertained the idea of pulling out his sword and seeing how many heads he could remove before all of the civilians had scattered. It would be a great stress reliever, but he doubted the emperor would be very pleased at such a display. Gilliam got to his feet quickly, not wanting to show any sign of weakness, and as he stood, he brushed himself off in the most dignified way possible considering the circumstances.

Already irritated, Gilliam pulled the chair out from under one of the bar’s patrons sitting at a table next to their own. At this point Gilliam would have welcomed a fight if one had broken out, but it seemed that the man realized it was a losing battle, despite his drunken demeanor. The general sat down on the new chair, very carefully of course, and then turned to Nozz again. “What’d you want to say?” he asked brusquely.
ginpu

"What at is this place and why am I here? What kind of liquid is in this cup? Forgive me I am but a mere weapon, but why aren't we fighting this resistance?" She got off the chair and kneeled down on one knee and lowered her head. Although she was given permission to speak, she was still prepared to be beaten for making such questions.

Being this close to the emperor and general is making her start to think and question things. She's not used to this kind of treatment and doesn't understand why either of them would be seen in public with her. She is trying to push the questions away. She does not enjoy being strangled and knocked out just to rise again and deal with the pain.

As she knelt there both the general and emperor notice a dark(er) spot forming on her left pant knee (which is where the left hand is resting).

((woohoo! someone to RP with all day!))
Dr. Salem

Xilas slowly approached the dragon, not wishing to appear too suddenly to cause suspicion, but merely threw a rock at the flying dragon in mid-air to catch his attention.
Spirit Wolf

(You should be careful as to who you throw rocks at.)

Jack is in his room, practicing his swordplay when a messenger comes in. Sir! Tiamat has another assignment for you. He hands Jack a small package. He opens it and finds a flat, disk like ruby about the size of a 50 cent piece and a message.

Jack,

This is the stone of Dragonflame, and it is yours by birthright. Keep it safe, it is very powerful and could bring disaster if it falls into the wrong hands. I also have another assignment for you. I know you won't like this but it has to be done. I need you to speak with the humans. There is something not right with Irallia, something stirs beneath the ground, and it means to do us all harm. We cannot fight this force alone. We will need the humans to help. I will try to find out what it is that threatens Irallia. But for now, speak with Emperor Zelas. He is a strange man, but I think he'll listen. Now go, time is of the essence!

Yours truly,
Tiamat

WHAT!!! She can't be serious! ARGH!!! He continues to rant and rave about this for hours.
Dr. Salem

((Whoops... I jjust threw a rock at a poor innocent dragon... good thing I'm evil)))

The dragon spun around quickly in response but threw a fireball at Xilas. He dodged it quickly spinning a barrel roll. Ronald managed to sed a message to the dragon apologizing for its mistake, cursing in the clock tower for Xilas's incompitance..
BlackBlade

((Today was my last day of school. I graduate next Friday, and tomorrow is our prom. So I won't be on much tomorrow. But I still have to go to work.))

"I didn't hurt you did I, Dema? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to grab you like that." *Kyle was kicking himself on the inside* "It's going to get dark soon, do you think we should should make a camp, Dema? And give that me 'do as you wish' stuff, I want to know what you think Dema." *Kyle knew from his experience that asking a question, mainly one that required the answer to give an opinion, messed with most control spells.*
Spirit Wolf

The Food comes and Zelas devours it quickly. After the last bit was finished he leaned back in his chair. Ok, now that I'm done, I'll tell you the real reason you're here. I didn't expect you Nozz but you're a fine addition, the real reason you're here is because I wanted to be away from the palace when I told you this. I want to go on an adventure across Irallia. I've been the emperor for so long, I just want to go on an adventure, to do something exciting. I asked you to come here, Gilliam, because I wanted for you to accompany me. You don't have to accept, but I'm going either way. And you, Nozz, have the choice off accompanying me. If you accept, I'll have that chocker of yours weakened, seeing as how I can't have someone around me falling uncontentious at random intervals. So, what do you say? Come with me and experience things most men have never seen, battle danger, uncover mysteries, and learn things about Irallia and her inhabitants. Or go back to the peaceful palace, and sit around doing nothing? Your choice.
GaryWilliams

Never mind.I said As I closed my jaws around his forearm. A short tug of my head and neck, and he was half free. I moved around for the other arm and seconds later, he was on the ground, He he, you taste good. not as nice as rabbit or deer, but surpirisingly tasty for something so scrawny
Demecas

*demecas stops quickly withher head down.* Yes sir. I will set up a camp then. An old master once said that it was unwise to travel at night. Since he was my master he must have been right.

*She goes off into the forest only to come back several times with fire wood, some extremely large ferns, some vines and some Some fish in a short amount of time. She then goes to building a shelter with the vines ferns and some large sticks. once thats done she starts a fire. She uses her claws to gut and clean the fish before putting them on sticks over the fire to cook. Then she sits on the opposite side of the fire with the innards of the fish in a small fern made bowl and starts to nibble on them without ever looking up or complaining.*
Zymeth

((Now, most people would freak out right here... but why be most people!?))

*Robby lands on his feet and looks at his hands* "I'll make sure just to go straight to the ground next time... So, I taste good?" *He sticks his hand in his mouth, but takes it out imediately*
"Aa! Ther'th hairth od mah toug!" *Coughs up the hair* "I don't see how you think that tastes good..."
*He shakes his hands off and looks around* "Uh... I have no idea where to go, could I just go where ever you were going?"

((P.S. Warning: mini-story approaching the 2SF singn up))
ginpu

"I will do as I am ordered sir." Nozz says. "I do not understand what choice is. It is something I know I do not possess." She is still kneeling before them both on the floor. Left hand on her left knee. The fabric under her hand grows darker, you notice the darkness seems to drip to the floor now.
BlackBlade

*Kyle tried too help but Dema was too fast. By the time he returned from collecting fire wood Dema had already built a shelter and was cooking fish.* "Whoa, you're fast. You don't have to eat that." *Kyle walked over to the fish on the fire and divided it in half. He gave the bigger half to Dema.* "You eat that, you caught the fish you get to eat it and not just the guts, My rule." *It was at this point that Kyle realized that he had just stuck his tail in the fire. He quickly pulled it out and put out his fur.* "That was close, but nothing more than a few singed hairs." *He sat down next to Dema.* "So, you were forcefully breed. Did you have have any kids(kittens)? I had two, twins in fact one boy and one girl, but they got sold a few months ago." *Kyle looked down at the ground in shame and started to cry.*
Demecas

*demecas looks up a little confused. She takes the fish though and eats it.*

I shall do as you say.

*when she was asked about the kids it took her a little longer to respond but it was so slight that only if you knew what to look for would you notice it.*

I have had quite a few kids. I've been in heat several times each time i was mated with several other males. normaly they would have me with at least 20 to 21 other males during the 7 days I was in heat. I would be tied down and put in a position that wouldn't allow me to move. from it the whole time. I gave birth to several kids each time. but never saw a single one of them. I would be milked like a cow. for a few months by my masters tied down again in a different position. So that I wouldn't injure my self so that they could get all the milk i produced at that time.

*she explains all of this with almost no emotion except for a single tear that rolled down her cheek. The whole tie she didn't even look up*
