My funny Story

Well, it happened at summer camp when I was 12. We were on a hike and I went off the trail, and into a poison Ivy patch. Well my consular stated to yell at me. So what do I do I yell back at him saying that I wasn't allergic to it. he yelled back that everyone was allergic to it. The next thing to happen was I pulled of my shirt and started to roll in it. I walk up to him and pat him on the chest and say "we will see" by dinner I didn't have a rash anywhere on my body and the consular had one in the shape of a hand on his chest.

Wow, so I ain't the only one unaffected by a poison. I once got bit by a rattlesnake and didn't tell anyone, nothing happened. It hurt like hell being bit, but I clearly lived. Very strange.

My cousin is immune to poison ivy as well. Never touched any, don't intend to.

(Duct tape doesn't work if it's frozen either.)

Well you definitely got lucky then godhand but if it happens again treat it as if your not immune to it. next time you body could be affected differently.

many different reason.

1. the snake might have recently bit something else and didn't have enough poison regenerated when it bit you to really affect you. If thats the case you only got lucky but there is no real way to know.

2. The snake could also have had a defect where it couldn't produce normal amounts of poison.

3. you didn't get bit by a rattler but a different snake that looks almost exactly the same and has the same warning signs of a rattler but has no poison at all.

these are all options.
BlackBlade

yeah try not to get bitten by any more poisonous snakes. It won't end well.
Durandal

In fact, next time you see a snake, make sure you bite it first. Afterall, better safe than sorry, right?
Spirit Wolf

Thats a good idea, then after I kill it, I can cook it, snake is very good.

Tsk, tsk... PETA would not be happy mister.

Visions of "Snake Eater" start coming into my head.

I myself use to have banana spiders in my old house the size of my open palm that would come down from the attic to fight me and my folks. They're really territorial suckers. I would end up having to fight them off with a broom and got bit twice while living there. I was only 6, so I didn't know they were infact poisonous. Their bites are supposedly toxic.
