Prisoners of Xilinix - RP

In the dark vacuum of space, a large freighter filled with prisoners and officers is approaching the Xilinx Universal Penitentiary, a space station of epic proportions. Its prisoners are currently fastened to benches with straps attached holding their arms down. A small robotic female voice echoes throughout the freighter, “Now docking. Officers, please secure the prisoners.” A sudden stop and a loud clap awoke some of the sleeping prisoners locked down on the freighter.

Within the prison, a small man about the size of a lawn gnome with a large black mustache and bald head started down the cell block’s halls and ringing a loud bell. “Get up you scum! Breakfast time! You know the drill; take a left from the recreation area’s entrance to the feeding hall on your way out!” Each cell started opening to allow the prisoners to their meals.

The cell block left no evidence of a space station. It was full of rusting metal and crumbling cement, and looked exactly like the cell blocks of a normal prison on earth.
Spirit Wolf

Ren woke up. Breakfast. Good, I was just getting hungry. His voice had a hiss to it. His silver braided hair fell over his face as he started getting off the cot. Hmm, what's going to go wrong today? He smiles and gets up. Yawning, he stretches out. Then he leaves his cell. Hssss, light. I loathe light. He walks to the mess hall.
BlackBlade

Chris was leaning on the cell wall near the door as the "gnome" walked by. "'Bout time" Chris said as he flicked a cig butt out through the cell door. And over the man's head "I'm starvin' and you guys are ten minutes behind this mornin'." *A soft thud echoed through the station. A smile crawled across Chris' face. "There goin' to be fresh meat today." *Chris left his cell and walked to the mess hall.*
Spirit Wolf

Ren bumps into Chris on the way to the mess hall. Oh, hey Smoke. Have you gotten word on the shades I asked for? He smiles again. To others he looks like the grim reaper, but those who know him call him stitch because he's a good quick fix doc when you don't want the guards knowing you're hurt. Well?

Despite the crude nature of the constraints that dug into his skin, the old man showed no sign of any discomfort he may have been experiencing. His left eyelid drooped over the red-tinted orb it held in, and the eye opposite it glanced over as though hoping to catch a glimpse of its lazy companion past the barrier of the nose. Such freedom and individuality was not common in the description of the parts of a whole, especially when that whole represents a normal living being. But then again, the old man hardly followed any standards.

His eyes were only a small portion of what was unique about the man known only as 'Sarasvati.' His more unnatural parts tended to almost have a will of their own, even before his gods had delivered him into the hands of those who would have him locked away. Now that the heretics had done as they wished to him though, his biomechanical extensions of his body were like the crew of a ship on shore leave; drunk and not listening half the time.

For this very reason Sarasvati awoke to find his left eye napping along with him, and the right spying on the left. He wondered what it was the right could be thinking, but at that moment it, like a child caught disobeying, snapped back to perfect attention. It tracked the inside of the freighter just like he wanted it to while the left remained only half-awake. It was this seemingly flawless compliance that had Sarasvati worried, because it meant the eye was up to something. He realized he would have to keep a sharp ocular nerve out to make sure it didn’t get into any trouble.

In the meantime, the hustle of the prison staff caused Sarasvati to push his concerns aside for the moment. It appeared that he had been carried to his new destination successfully. This didn’t concern him, because he knew that wherever mortals might stow him away, the W’rkncacnter would find him. This thought filled him with both fear and excitement; enough so that his left eye finally blinked away the last of its sleepiness and started working, albeit rather groggily.

Determined to remain undisturbed by the affairs of lesser beings, Sarasvati turned his thoughts inward and slipped away into contemplation on his place in the order of existence.

At the back of the freighter was a rustly electronic sliding door with Blue paint on it labeled CRYO-ROOM. An officer standing guard typed in a keypad which opened the door. Some prisoners still attached to their seats were curious enough to look inside the opening door.

Four tubes capable of holding humanoids opened and released a blue gas. Bodies fell out of the tubes and onto the floor in a quick second. One body in particular had a blindfold on as it curled up in a ball and shivered as did the others, but it pushed itself up on his feet and cracked his neck in stiffness.
ginpu

Ryoshi looked up from the book she'd been reading. It was an old book, written by a John O'Conner about Skynet and the bioroids they created that nearly wiped out the human race. Although the story was fictional, its ideas on how the bioroids worked, were intriguing and possible, but rather archaic to a Thraxah. It's a good start, too bad humans have always been slow and wrong. She let's out a sigh, folds the corner of the page she's on and sets the book down. She picks up an apple she had snagged yesterday from lunch and bites into it.

While she's chewing down breakfast she slides her chair over to her workstation. She checks out her email, empty again. She logs into the intranet to check out the maintenance schedule.
  • Fix the ventilation in cell 482, prisoner is getting too much clean air.
  • Check the water heater. Prisoners enjoying the hot water, lower the temperature 5 degrees celcius.
  • Prisoner # 686985's wheelchair needs fixing. It's moving too fast.
She runs her finger across the screen seeing what jobs she has to do today. Nothing interesting... she thinks. Just as she hits the end of the page something catches her eye. Freighter arriving with new inmates. She grabs the apple with her tail to free up her hands to quickly query the list of new inmates, seeing if anything catches her attention. "Well now just what do we have here?" she asks out loud.
BlackBlade

Chris just shook his head. "It's like I told you last week, Stitch, I can't run out to a store and buy you a pair so it's going to take some time." *Chris smiled and chuckled "I had you there for a moment." *Chris handed Ren a pair of sunglasses that had sliver frames and Opalescent lens.* "Don't break these, it's hard enough to get stuff in here and your requirements makes it even harder to get." Both of them entered the mess hall.
Spirit Wolf

Ren checks them out. Good, now light won't hurt my eyes as much. He puts them on and goes to the window. A tray with strange looking waffles slides to him. I just love these waffles. His voice just shouted sarcasm. He turns around and sits at the same table he's been sitting at for 3 months.
ginpu

Ryoshi's eyes scan the list of new inmates. One stands out in particular.

Name: Nicholas Dennison
Age: 26
Race: Unknown
Home world: Alpha 1-778 (Space Station)
Gender: Male
Prisoner Number: 588-97462
Convicted Crimes: Arson of an Orphanage, Murder of 1 women, 1 child, and 3 men
Sentence: Death
Distinguishing Marks: Brown fur. Complete absence of eyes.

She taps her claws on the desk for a moment while taking another bit of the apple. "No eyes, hrm? I'm sure I can fix that. Just need to check in with the director." Ryoshi pushes her chair backwards and spins to face the other wall. There are jars and vats lined up on shelves here. Inside the containers Ryoshi had several bio-ware components growing. She stood up and looked over the jars seeing what she had for eyes.

"Let's see... cat eyes... that would be interesting, but I don't know if this fellow is feline or what. Brown fur's a bit vague. Eagle eyes...not sure if I want to try them on someone who's going to be killed. Those were expensive to get my hands on, rather use them on someone who's not going to be put to death."

Ryoshi walked over to another corner of the room. She took the apple from her tail and finished eating most of it, throwing the core into the trash recepticle. In the other corner she had stock piles of cyber ware components. Not everything worked, and not everything was brand new. Some pieces were how do you say... slightly used?

"Cyber ware eyes. Those could be fun. DAMMIT!" Ryoshi yelled as half the room faded to black. I need to perfect this damn eye, she grumbled as she smacked the side of her temple. The eye turned back on, vision slowly returned, but in black and white. I'm going to get sick at this rate.

Ryoshi closed her right eye and used her left to sift through the cyber wares. She found a few sets of eyes. "Just need to clean em up a bit, and see what I can't do to improve them. Maybe I will figure out how to fix this damn one I have." She tapped her temple a few times with her index finger. There was a slight shock in her eye socket. "Dammit, that hurts!" She slowly opened her right eye again, blinking to clear the haze. Things were normal again.

"Definately need to perfect this model. Looks like Mr. Dennison might be able to help me with this. Now to get the boss to say yes." Ryoshi put her chair back at her desk. She locked her computer, grabbed her toolbox and backpack and headed out the door. She locked it behind her. The door was set up with quite tight security, retinal scan, fingerprint, DNA and voice recognition. She headed out to the boiler room to check out the water heater first.

Sarasvati reveled in the never-ending complexities of chaos. He enjoyed the randomness in which the only truth was unpredictability itself. Inside his own brain his mind reached back, far back; yet another attempt to pierce the areas inside his thoughts he could not reach. Once again he tried to ask the questions and once again the Answers were given. An explosion of sensation, of justice, of fractures, of linearity, of oneness.

Underneath the prison attire that attempted to hide the perfection of his technologically enhanced body several metal compartments vibrated with machinations unseen. Sarasvati's entire body shook with... pleasure? pain? energy? chill? Or perhaps a bit of everything. He allowed the chaos to run through his veins and splinter his thoughts as they often did. It was a rush for him, his one vice. But as long as his addiction kept him focused on his Purpose he figured it would be acceptable to indulge himself in this way.

Once his body had calmed itself again, Sarasvati's eyes opened, both ready to work without reserve now. He smirked at the thought of the power that had chased the individuality from them. The power of his gods, the W'rkncacnter, surged through him and renewed his passion to serve. It wouldn't be long before he would be led to his new place of residence where he could seek to carry out the will of the gods... whatever that might be.

((at least... I hope it isn't long...))
BlackBlade

"Well at least they're eatable." Chris took his seat across from Ren. Chris' try had about twice as much of the waffles on it than Ren's. "I've eaten worst things as a kid. Stupid gov rations." *As much as he hated to admit it this place was a little better then his childhood home. The beds were a little better and there was always food. "Do have to say the glasses fit you much better than the last ones. So there's going to be some new meat around here today. Maybe they'll give me a cell-mate this time. It's not like I'll try eating this one. If I don't get a decent amount of food and go crazy, it's not my fault right?"
Spirit Wolf

Heh, remember the last one to be stuck with me? Complete psychological breakdown. Fun to watch. Let's just hope the fresh meat don't piss me off. It's not good to tick off the person who may be working on you. He laughs. It sounds more like a hiss than a laugh. He starts eating his waffle.
BlackBlade

"Yeah he was funny one" Chris had already eaten all but one of his waffles and was starting to eat it when a slight beep stopped him. Chris pulled out a small sliver tube from his pocket. There was a digital clock that read 00:00 he unscrewed the cap and pulled out a cig. which he place in his mouth. He closed the tube and the timer restarted. He placed the tube back in his pocket. After finishing his waffle he looked at Ren "So how long have you been here now?"
Dr. Salem

The constraints holding the prisoner's arm's down were released and most decided to get up and stretch. A guard smoking a cigarette and leaning on the wall spoke up. "Don't get any funny ideas, inmates. You're in space, you have no chances of getting anywhere else. Unless you like the airlock, that you'll have your innards freely floating around in a black vacuum." The bay doors of the freighter opened a showed a large room. The size of it was approximately two to three stories high and could support a gathering of 1000 prisoners. One window gave a nice few to the inhabitants of the feeding hall on the second story. A long walkway covered in rust connected the two sides of the room.

-----------------------------------------------

Two prisoners near Ren and Chris started a conversation. "You hear what happened to Hansel? The one that killed three workers and a officer when they gave him a funny look last week? I heard around that he's going to be killed in front of all the new guys."

-----------------------------------------------

An officer approached Ryoshi as she headed for the boiler room. "Hey, warden wants you on the walkway near the prisoner entrance. Don't know why though."
Spirit Wolf

He finishes off his waffle before answering. I got here the day you got back into general population. You should remember, I stitched you up after that bastard cut you up good with his shiv. You know, for taking a few chunks out of his brother. Good thing there are wires everywhere here, else I'd be out of a job. He starts eating another waffle.

He hears the inmate. Damn, that sounds like fun. Do we get to watch?
ginpu

Ryoshi looked at the officer. "Hrm? That makes 2 of us then." She smiled at the officer as she turned around and headed towards the prisoner entrance.

As she walked she couldn't help but return to her thoughts on how to resolve the sightless problem of a new inmate, while benefiting from it to fix her own eye. It was difficult to do to yourself, the pain is...great. She can't concentrate well enough with that kind of pain, and if you take medications to numb yourself you can't think clear from the high.

As she was walking she transferred her tool box to her tail. Someone seeing her would assume she was talking to someone with how she was moving her hands about. But if they tried harder, they'd see she was talking to herself. She mumbled thoughts aloud and spoke with her hands.
Durandal

When the constraints were released Sarasvati allowed himself the luxury of unfurling his limbs. From secluded sections of natural flesh spread throughout his arms and legs, signals made their way towards Sarasvati's brain, intent on delivering the tingling sensation they carried. They never arrived though, cut off by the interference of an unskilled correctional facility worker before he had been carted off on this freighter.

But now it seemed he was about to enter the next phase of his future of incarceration. Sarasvati was a bit worried about what this prison would hold, because in his weakened state he no longer felt certain he would be able to serve the W'rkncacnter to the best of his ability. Shortly after thinking it though, Sarasvati cursed his moment of weakness and reminded himself that whatever he went through it didn't matter. He served a purpose higher than his own physical comfort, and he would do well to remember it.
Dr. Salem

The officer’s ushered in the prisoner’s into the entrance bay. The warden stood tall on the walkway just above them. He observed each and every one of them with his brown eyes scanning all over. His face was cleanly shaven and his black hair was covered by the military hat on his head. You'd mistake this man for a general with his uniform made out of light brown and a large amount of badges. His other hand tapped the bars individually in impatience. “Where the hell is Ryoshi? I thought she’d enjoy the example for today.” The warden asked an officer to his left. “Should be heading here right about now.”
ginpu

Something gave Ryoshi a shiver. It broke her concentration about the eyes. She looked up and noticed she wasn't walking anymore. "SHIT! Warden's gonna kill me if I don't get there right away." She grabbed her toolbox and ran to the prisoner entrance flying right by the warden, screeching and crashing to a halt. She then doubled back to greet the warden. "I'm sorry sir. I got..uh..hung up at the boiler room. Trying to make the water as cold as legally allowed." She gave a toothy grin with closed eyes as she saluted him.
Zymeth

*Ray quickly walks out of his cell tward the mess hall, nearly tripping as he came out* [damnit, how do I keep oversleeping!?] ((I always know an excuse))

*He gets to the window without looking at anything, gets the food* [crappy food, I bet that's what it's made of too. Though, there's nothing else to eat] *Sits down at an empty table close to the others* "Nobody's gunna touch my food..." *He mumbles to himself. He seems to poke at his food more that eat it. A small amount of sweat has formed on his neck*
Dr. Salem

The warden's head turned to Ryoshi. "Never mind that and just look forward to the prisoners." He turned his head down to the prisoners, moved his hand behind his back, and stood up straight before starting to pace back and forth on the walkway.

“Worthless Scum!” The warden bellowed to the crowd below to get their attention. "Look at the metal of the ship, look at its rust. This is your life now. This is where it festers, where it will squirm and die. You all are now in my hell, where I decide your fate. You won’t be protected by any sort of law, no human decency, no... You will be treated as animals. You are nothing but ants and I am the child standing above you with a clean magnifying glass. Xilinx will be the root of all your nightmares, you will rot on its metal, you will fall and cry on it, and it will break you. If any of you disobey me or my staff…Guards! Bring in Hansel!”

Two guards came from the right doorway carrying a tall and dark brown furred creature about 6’9” with thick bracers around its arm with a large but short chain connecting them together. (Think Wookie). “This here is a prisoner who did just that. He killed three of my maintenance workers and an officer. I will not tolerate disobedience; I intend to make an example of him. Ryoshi, hand me your wrench.”

(Know what, I'll make what I'm about to do to Hansel the evil part, not the speech.)
ginpu

"Which wrench sir? Adjustable Wrench, Chain Wrench, Pop-up Plug Wrench, Basin Wrench, Pedestal Sink Wrench, Internal Pipe Wrench, Pipe Wrench, Allen Wrench, Combination Wrench, Double Box Wrench, Double Open Wrench, Stubby Wrench, Speedster Wrench, Flare Nut Wrench, or Torque Wrench?" Ryoshi asked.

((I went to Lowes.com. Sorry. It's fitting for a response. LOL and yes, I changed it to hibachi from hitachi))

"I also have a Hibachi 3/4" Impact Wrench, Powerful 7.5 amp (850 Watt) motor produces an amazing 450 ft/lbs of tightening torque (class leading) to tackle the toughest jobs with ease. Most compact and lightweight impact wrench in its class. Large heat-resistant bumper protects the tool, work piece and the user. Slip resistant elastomer handle improves grip and minimizes user fatigue!" Ryoshi says as she pulls it out and pulls the trigger a few times. <vrrr!>
Dr. Salem

"Wha... the hard one! Give me the hard one." The warden whispered to Ryoshi.

A few inmates started whispering down below on the seriousness of the warden.

-----------------------

"Hey! The show's starting!"
A prisoner shouted at the window in the mess hall.
ginpu

Ryoshi reaches deep into her bag with both arms. She goes to stand up, lifting with her knees, eventually she gets the pipe wrench out of the bag. It's a massive pipe wrench, about 40lbs in weight, 3 foot long, almost bigger then her.

"Here you go, sir." She says holding the pipe wrench with both hands.

((She's what? 100lbs I think I said? 40lbs is alot for a 5ft tall 100lb being. keke))
Spirit Wolf

Ooh, someone is about to die... I love this place. He snickers and watches what is happening.
BlackBlade

"Ren I would say your strange but I have to agree with you on this. And there's always a bright side" Chris blew a cloud of smoke into the air. "That could be us down there next time." *Chris looks at the wrench that the warden was holding. "Nice, I'm going with three hits and he's dead or pretty damn close to dead."
Spirit Wolf

I got 2 packs of cigs says he goes down in 2. Ren smiles and laughs, scaring the shit out of the guy next to him. Damn wimp, these people need to grow some balls.
Dr. Salem

The warden took the wrench and tapped his left hand lightly with it. He approached Hansel and Hansel gave out a small grunt of sorrow while the warden started pacing around him. “Hmm, what do you think? Fine craftsmanship, firm grip, and a nice paint job. Truly excellent-“ The warden stopped talking and slammed the wrench in Hansels face sending him to the floor with blood staining the walkway. “Stand up, furry little beast.” He pulled Hansels head up by the hair and smashed his face into the walkway before pulling him up only to smash Hansel’s kneecap with the wrench, the prisoners below could hear the crack. The tall creature fell to his knees while the warden pulled his gun to his forehead to end his life. His body slumped to the floor leaving a large blood puddle to drip off the edge of the walkway which scared some of the prisoners below and they scattered.

The warden started walking towards the door on the left side of the room. “Feed him to my dogs, they’ll enjoy the buffet. Just remove the bullet.”

(Two hits with the wrench, one hit to the ground, and a bullet.)
ginpu

Ryoshi made a slight cringe followed by a frown. Such wasted parts, can't use any of him now, can't even test stuff. Dammit. She let out a low growl. An officer near her looked down at her. She looked up, "Heh. Haven't had more than an apple for breakfast so far, sir," she says with a smile and an oh shit he heard me growl look.
BlackBlade

"Aw man.... That was so anti-climatic. He should have used the wrench. Oh well, the throwing into the group below was a nice touch." *Chris lit up another cig.* "So now I'm guessing we're goin' have to unload the cargo on th freighter. Or have they fixed the unloading system yet?"
Dr. Salem

"Well go scare the prisoner's in the mess hall. They're all terrified of you and your 'tests'. We'll be sending this lot in the mess hall too. Oh that reminds me, the warden told me to direct the inmates. Excuse me Ryoshi." The officer turned to the large crowd. "Shows over, head up the stairs to the mess hall before breakfast is over. We don't serve later than eleven o'clock which is in fifteen minutes. Get moving." He yelled to the crowd below. They followed orders and moved.

The blindfolded prisoner stood still for a moment before moving along with the group. "I heard a girl up there. She smells violent too."
Durandal

From inside his peace-less cocoon, Sarasvati peered out into the world again. He reviewed what his eyes had seen (what the right one had seen, at least; the left had fallen asleep halfway through) and realized the man who seemed to think himself the most powerful individual in this place had released one of the inmates from his physical prison. How noble of him. It began to dawn on Sarasvati just how much potential there was for salvation in a place such as this.

While reviewing his visual input Sarasvati had also noticed the petite creature who had helped the Warden to free the inmate. Although many of his scanning functions had been disabled, he had noticed her eye. In fact, this was where his left eye had woken up. It seemed his right eye had somehow roused left to get him to notice the creature's artificial ocular implant. Sarasvati suspected that, considering the fact that the remainder of the visual records from his left eye was focused on the creature's face, his own left eye might be suffering from infatuation. He almost smiled at the thought. Ah, to be a young biomechanical eyeball and to be in love.

Once they had been dismissed, supposedly to go get some nourishment, Sarasvati allowed the rushing horde of new prisoners push past him. He was in no hurry, and in fact did not move from his place until the rest of the group had cleared him. Only then did he begin his limping gait towards the cafeteria. The needs of his mortal body were not of much importance to him, and he often went days without eating, despite still needing food like any other person to eat. This resulted in him being unhealthily skinny, but spiritually pure.
Dr. Salem

The blindfolded prisoner stopped in front of the biomechanic being behind him. "You smell of enhancements. May I ask what brand? I heard Visotech made good biomech parts. I'm Nick by the way, I don't know why but I feel as though I should introduce myself to you." He held out his hand for a handshake.
ginpu

"Yeah, but that fuzzball killed 3 guys bigger than me. Loads of fun." She said rolling her eyes.

((The italics are thought, not spoken.))

As the officer turned to address the crowd Ryoshi made faces behind his back. ((Think spaceballs, LOL)) When he turned around again she resumed her nonchalant appearence.

"Should I return to my duties today, or am I needed elsewhere?" Ryoshi asked the officer. Whether he answered or not, she didn't realize. She had seen the new prisoner. He was blindfolded with brown fur. Could that be Mr. Dennison? Blindfolds are usually to not let someone see, or they cover what is not there. Her gaze upon him was so focused you could feel it if you waved your hand in front of her face.

((edited 7-77-07, realized I used darkblue instead of #CC0000 for Ryoshi. Der....))
Dr. Salem

"Meh, whatever. Hell, do what you want. I just have to keep these guys in check, not you. I think the warden really only cares about the boiler anyway." The officer sighed before returning to his patrol.
Durandal

The room stopped moving as Sarasvati came to a halt. He breathed deeply and then turned to see who had addressed him. The other prisoner's hand had drifted away from his body, and Sarasvati could sympathize. His own arm had done just that many times before, often without him even realizing it. He reached out and pushed the prisoner's- Nick as he had named himself- hand back down to his side.

"I am the one called Sarasvati." When he spoke his voice was deep and sounded as though it had been poured out of a cup filled to the brim with words ready to be said. "But..." The word sounded like a single drop of water splashing into a pool. "My name matters not. Rather, it is my service to the gods that shall create my identity- my legacy." He made a dramatic sweeping gesture toward the sky. "This humble servant you see before you has been granted his body by the W'rkncacnter themselves. No mortal manufacturer has created an enhancement that graces my body," he said as though chiding Nick for his naiveté.
Dr. Salem

"Hmm, your technology did smell funnier than most. Well, okay then. Seems like it's going to be rough here. I smell blood; lots of it." Nick left and continued up the stairs to the mess hall. The many scents in the room confused him, but he caught on to where the food was quickly. He grabbed a waffle and two badly burnt eggs. He sat down on a table nearby and started feasting on his breakfast with his bare hands with attracted some attention.
ginpu

"Boiler? huh?" Ryoshi's gaze was broken when Mr. Dennison had left the room. She barely caught the end of what the officer said and watched him as he walked away. Again with the face making.

Ryoshi let out a sigh. "That wasn't much fun. Though... I can't get back to work until I get my wrench back. That's the one I need for the boiler room." Again, another sigh. Ryoshi started wandering around looking for the warden, back pack, toolbox and all.

She was slightly more chipper this morning and whistled as she walked around searching for him. She really didn't want to get to close to the prisoners. These were beings who slain and violated others. While her exile is considered the harshest punishment by her people, its nothing compared to this. Ryoshi kept her hands free of items just to be prepared.
Spirit Wolf

Ren is back in the mess hall, but didn't get anything. So, when you're done with you food, wanna mess with the fresh meat? He grins as he thinks about all the things he wants to do, like see how long one of them will last while he slowly removes the skin. Then there's the classic rip their heart and shove it down their throat. He continues to imagin all of these things, glass-eyed.
Durandal

The specifics of the food being served did not matter to Sarasvati, and he believed that to be a blessing, for if they had he likely would have found the rubbery eggs and the waffle that tasted eerily similar to cardboard entirely too repulsive to eat. Likewise, the inhabitants of the mess hall failed to catch his interest in any way. They were here, they were mortal, and they called out for salvation... whether they knew it or not.

The seat across the table from Nick groaned as Sarasvati occupied it. Without a word he began eating the refuse that was his breakfast, and he didn't pause until it had been finished. He never dwelt on his food, for if he did he might enjoy it. And what were the pleasures of the flesh compared to the satisfaction of the gods?
Zymeth

*Ray leaves his food at the table. He stands and looks at the pool of blood on the floor with a small amount of off-set disgust on his face. His ears tilt backwards* “What a shame, that’s going to stain the floor really bad… I guess that means meal-time’s over. I know it is for me.

*Looks toward Ren* "What's this about a fresh meat? I want to see him break." *He grins and puts his right fist in his left hand*
Dr. Salem

The warden looked into his hand to find Ryoshi's wrench. "Huh, must have forgot I put it there." He looked down the left hallway to see if their was an officer to bring it to her, but it was empty. He grabbed a pen and a pile of sticky notes from his pocket and wrote down, "To Ryoshi." and stuck the note on the wrench and left the wrench on the floor. "If she's coming to get the wrench she should pass this hallway soon." The warden walked off for the office deck of the station.
ginpu

((You Prick))
I hate this place, Ryoshi thought as she started darting across the mess hall? ((My mind seriously blanked. I have no idea what you are calling the food area.))

Every time I have to pass through here some fucking perv tries to grope me, some rapist thinks I'm easy bait or some psycho thinks a fork will do me in. Ryoshi tries to quickly pass through the mess hall to reach where the warden last was, perhaps her wrench was there.
Spirit Wolf

As she passes by, Ren nods. Hello. And watches her run off. Then returns his attention to Chris. Hey, let's get out of here, man.
Dr. Salem

"Hey, Sarasvati, I smell that girl from the place we got off. Is she in here?" Nick asked Saravati with difficulty of saying his name, causing him to stutter when he tried to say it.
BlackBlade

"And what are we going to do to the fresh meat?" *Chris takes a long draw* "It been forever since we got new people the welcome to hell." *Chris gave a smile, that only a few would enjoy seeing.*
Spirit Wolf

That's why I want to hit the rec area. Then we can bribe the guards to allow us to give a proper... welcome. He says the last word with harsh malevolence.
BlackBlade

"Sounds like a plan to me" *Chris got up and followed Ren.* "So which ones are we welcoming?" *Chris looked around picking out the new faces.*
Spirit Wolf

Hmm, let's see... you take metal head over there, and I'll take tattoo boy.(Not DS) Deal? He grins and licks his lips.
Durandal

"Hmm..." Sarasvati sat back and gave the question some thought. He let the pause drag out to completely unproportional lengths before finally responding. "There are several females present who entered this location in the freighter that carried us."
Dr. Salem

"I meant the one with biomechanics. I could smell them on her." Nick said before taking a final bite out of his waffle.
BlackBlade

*Chris looked over at Sarasvati* "Whatever, I don't think he'll be much fun but I'll try." *Chris walked over to Sarasvati* "You new here? ... Of cousre you are, come on time to show around this little place we call hell or home, it's really up to what you call it. But Come on I ain't got all day." *He grabs Sarasvati and leads him through the mess hall. Chris catches a sent on the air and thinks to himself Hum.. Ryoshi was here and I didn't hello. Oh well
Durandal

Sarasvati considered his possibilities as he stared at the inmate leading him somewhere. The prisoner wasn’t human, but that was alright. The W’rkncacnter accepted all their children.

“Odd that you should mention the fleetingness of mortals. Did today’s little incident remind you that the permanency of this existence is but an illusion? Perhaps, deep inside you seek a more…” The words stopped flowing and built up on his tongue like a stream behind a dam. Sarasvati allowed himself to be pulled into the theatrics his brain was weaving around his message and thus he paused for dramatic effect. “More… purposeful reason for living? I’m certain you’ve felt it. That little hole inside of you that nags you when you’re alone and your thoughts are quiet. You know of what I speak, and you despise it. It tells you that nothing has come of your life, and in all honesty, it’s right… isn’t it?” During his monologue Sarasvati continued walking beside the prisoner. He only hoped that the being would prove open to the salvation he offered.
Dr. Salem

Nick followed the Sarasvati and the one who pulled him away. He bumped into another (Ren) as he exited the mess hall.

(I'm trying to get Ren to go after Nick instead, whats the point of attacking an NPC?)
Spirit Wolf

Woah, hang up! He grabs the guys shoulders so he doesn't fall over. Yo, what's with the blindfold man? You'll end up bumping into someone who is a lot less friendly. You look new, what's your name?
ginpu

((Well screw that dammit! I wanted theatrics!))

Ryoshi had almost made it across the mess hall and into the hall way when a rather large male blocked her path. She squinted at him trying to discern his intentions. He had stood in the doorway, one arms leaning against the doorway, the other on his hip. He seemed to be "newer" as Ryoshi hadn't recalled seeing one like this before.

He was a yellow-orange skinned fellow. Skin looked reptilian, he had 2 clawed toes and 3 clawed fingers. His eyes were bright orange with serpentine pupils. He appeared to have 3 crests on his head, all small somewhat bumpy. He didn't have a nose as per say, but he had 2 visible nostrils. His mouth had several sharp teeth.

"What are you? A failed experiment?" Ryoshi asked tauntingly. The prisoner looked at her with some anger. "Fighty, just as they told me," he said rather smugly. "Look, I don't have time for this, there's things that need fixing, and I need to get back my wrench and fix 'em," Ryoshi responded. The prisoner didn't budge. Ryoshi looked at his tank top, for a number or a name. "8055k eh? Could you kindly move?" "I don't think I'll be doing that today," he replied. "Very well, I gave you a chance." Ryoshi placed her toolbox against the wall, and her backpack. She took up a ready stance, waiting for 8055k to respond. They aren't that hard to figure out. Guys just want to show their power over those they consider lesser or smaller than them. That's why so many of them are here, Ryoshi thought sadly.

8055k made his move. Easily 6'5" he went for Ryoshi's throat. She expected it and allowed him to grab it. She looked at him with puppy eyes, "I bet you feel like a big boy now, huh?" The puppy eyes were quickly replaced with 2 very angry eyes. While he lifted her in the air by her throat she quickly kicked out with both feet, one place squarely in the stomach, the other in his groin. This caused the behemoth to crumple over. He didn't release his grip though. "You bitch, I'm going to rape you, kill you, rape you and eat you!" he growled at her. "Right, they all say that. Ask them later."

She grabbed his right wrist with her left hand, followed up weaving her right arm between his arms, slamming her elbow sharply into bicep. His left hand loosened but did not release. She quickly elbowed him into the cheek bone and jaw, hearing bone crack. His left arm released her neck. While this may have been sufficient, Ryoshi is not kind to those who threaten her, especially with rape. She followed down onto his collarbone with a knife strike, swiftly moving her right arm around the back of his head and the under his chin. She applied pressure, choking him.

She had to take him down, and now, due to the height difference. She turned his head left, faked it, then rotated her palm on his chin and she brought him to the ground, thudding, on his back. With her right hand still on his chin, she quickly met it with her left hand, clasping under his chin, and pulling tightly, crushing his windpipe. He struggled and twitch about 10 seconds before going silent. Ryoshi's right eye switched to thermo. The reds were turning to orange, to yellow, to green, then to blue. Some purple and black began to show up.

She released his hold on him, his body fell limp to the ground. She brushed off her hands on her pants. Her eye scanned over the mess hall. "Which one of you assholes put him up to that?" She yelled and demanded. "Get him to Ren or another locked up insane MD if anyone wants to see him live, and get him there QUICKLY!" She ordered. Some red shirts ran up and grabbed him, lugging him away. There were murmurs and whispers throughout the room. Ryoshi shot one final glare at all of them. The noise stopped. She picked up her back pack, put it back on, grabbed her toolbox and headed into the hallway.

Sure enough, just inside was the pipe wrench, blood smeared with a sticky note: For Ryoshi. How fucking kind of him. She reached in her bag and pulled out a sanitizing gadget. She clicked it on, releasing it's blue light over the wrench. The blood vaporized, the wrench sparkled again. She heaved it up and placed it back into the toolbox. One might have asked how the hell that fits in the tool box, but many were too damn scared to even ask.

After packing up, she headed back across the mess hall. The noise died on her appearance and resumed when she was out of ear shot. Fuckers are getting ice-showers now. Pulling shit like that on me, especially to some damn noob. While on the outside Ryoshi wreaked of don't fuck with me bitch, on the inside, she really didn't enjoy hurting people who didn't know what they were getting themselves into. Guilty of their own crimes or not, they committed no crime against her, other than letting themselves be egged on.
Spirit Wolf

They brought the guy over to Ren. Hmm, he's a tad bit fucked up, huh? What did he do? One of the people carrying him answered. He tried to mess with Ryoshi. Ren's eye twitches, but no one can see it because of the shades. Alright, carry him to my cell, I'll... fix him up. Sorry I have to go, talk to you later. They all leave and head for his cell. A few minutes later the guy was awake, and he was screaming like hell. It could be heard quite well all through out the place.
Zymeth

[Yeah, just keep ignoring me jerk wad. One day you're gunna be sorry... All this death is making me thirsty] *He gets back in line to get a glass of orange juice/tap water/liquid* ((How should I know what beverages are in a prison?))

((I think he's close to D's char, but I lost track))
Dr. Salem

Officers near the cell block entrance heard the screaming. Two were laying against the wall with their arms crossed.
"You hear that?" The one on the left asked the other.
"Must be Ren with his new roommate. Should we go check on him?"
"Nah, no cares for the prisoners. And I'm quite comfortable right here."
The officer started to whistle to deafen the screaming.
Spirit Wolf

Finally Ren was done. Now get out of here before I decide to continue torturing you. Down the hall the 2 guys saw the idiot running towards them. He had several cuts that were lazily sewn back together and was missing his right arm. That mother fucker is crazy! He continues running. A few minutes later Ren was walking down with the guys arm. Looking at the two, he shrugs. Hey, he messed with Ryoshi, he deserved it. You want this? I heard his kind are tasty. He laughs maliciously.
BlackBlade

"Hey, I'm the only one who eats people around here." *Chris said stepping in front of Ren. Still dragging Sarasvati along Chris looks at him* "You got that? Lesson one don't mess with Ryoshi, she'll kick ass then make the rest of the prisoners pissed at you, by shutting off the water to messing with the climate control system. Speakin' of which what do you think she'll do this time? Anyways meat, lesson 2 if you need a quick patch up job, Stitch here is the person to look. Lesson 3, if you something, I can try to get it for you, pay on delivery, I take most forms of money, cigs, and favors." *Chris noticed Nick was still following them.* "You over there, COME HERE.....NOW" *Chris said in growl.*
Dr. Salem

(Chris just completely ignored Reverend. We'll ignore a lot of people in this RP in days to come, won't we?)

Nick walked up to the creature, from his smell he could tell he was not human, a Vulpini. How he knew the scents of many races, he didn't know, it just seemed like instinct. "Don't talk to me like that, asshole."
Durandal

Sarasvati rocked on his heels and shuddered all over. His limbs shook all over as though repulsed by something. "Pleasures of the flesh..." the words dribbled out like the flowing of a scummy stream. "A servant has no need for them. And pain is but a gift of purity from the gods."

He watched Nick approach and then once his meaningless retort had been delivered Sarasvati continued their conversation. "Yes, the biomechanically enhanced female has passed through the room. She continued demonstrating her violent nature." The female had proven quite adept at allowing her feelings to dictate her actions, and this obedience to her inner chaos pleased Sarasvati. It appeared this place was not destined to be nearly as stifling as he had initially feared. Not that his fears meant anything though.
Zymeth

((Okay... improvising))

*Ray gets some cold water and drinks most of it, with the remaining part he takes the glass to a corner and pours it on his head* "phew, I thought I would pass out er somethin'." *Turns around to someone with a 'WTF' look on their face* "What are you looking at!?"
Dr. Salem

A automatic female voice echoed throughout the cell block, mess hall, and prisoner entrance. "The time now is eleven o'clock. Breakfast will no longer be served for today."

-----------------------------

"Hmm, thanks for confirming it for me. I now know her scent." Nick said to Sarasvati then turning his head to the Vulpini.
BlackBlade

*As Nick's head faced Chris', Chris gave a right hook into Nick's face.* "No one talks to me like that." *Chris' voice was low and growl-like. There was a look in his eye that told Ren he was about to have to do his thing again.*
Spirit Wolf

Where's the popcorn when you need it? He shakes his head and leans against the wall. He speaks to one of the guards. 3 packs of cig's says smoke gets his ass kicked. You game?

((Hey, why not, right?))
ginpu

((Not my RP, but in general, if I interact with another player, and not an NPC, I can try to hit them, but I can't guarantee that I make contact or that they fall to the ground. You have to let the player respond. That's what made that Resistance RP on 2kinds so miserable. PCs need to be able to respond.))

Ryoshi headed back across the mess hall and heard the automated voice. Crap. It's already 11? She let's out a sigh. As Ryoshi is heading towards the boiler room she notices the scuffle occurring with Mr. Dennison and Chris. God I hope he doesn't ruin him. Gonna have to ask the warden for permission to work on Mr. Dennison. I can't just interfere. She sighs and continues to the boiler room.

Inside she looks over the pipes and water heaters. There are a few different water heaters. One goes to the officers and guards, the other for maintenance workers and the last 4 control the prisoners water. Ryoshi walks over to the 4 prisoner tanks and tweaks em a bit. Reducing the amount of hot water flowing through them. "That should be cold enough to remind them to stop fucking with me," she says. As she's about to leave she eyes the heater for the officers. Tomorrow, tomorrow I'll adjust his. I can't freeze him until I get permission. Using my wrench then just leaving it there with congealed blood. She lets out a low growl.

Let's see, what's next? Ryoshi pulls out her Boisonberry ((Don't want to use brand names, and its the future. )) and looks it over. Ventilation and wheelchair. Eenie meanie miney moe... Wheelchair it is.

Ryoshi heads off to Cell Block D where 686985 resides. Upon reaching his cell she sees him sitting there. She still couldn't figure out how he ended up here. "Heya Porok. Warden says the chair's moving too fast, what do you think?" Porok turns his wheel chair around to face Ryoshi. Porok's race, the Ithorians, are peaceful. Herbivores and conversationalists by nature. Like herself, Porok was an exile. His people just didn't prepare him as well when they exiled him. His crime was theft. Nothing too big either. It's just who he ended up stealing from that landed him here, and with two bum legs.

"Ah Ryo, long time no see. The chair? It's not moving fast enough if you ask me. The others are starting to be able to catch up to me." Porok looked at her with dark sad eyes. Ryoshi hated to see him like this. She offered him many times new legs, but he's refused. "Too bad you won't accept new legs. I am sure I can fix em..." Porok cut her off, "Ryo, you know I won't accept that." "I know. I just hate to see you like this. Let's tune this chair then. First, let's get you out of it, so I can work on it." Ryoshi walks over to help Porok out of the chair and over to the bed. He puts both his strong arms around her neck and helps support himself this way as she moves him to the bad.

"Someone hurt you today didn't they?" Porok asked as he noticed the small bruises around her throat. "Yeah. 8055k. Apparently he's new and the older prisoners challenged him to take me down. Really stupid of them, everyone's in for cold showers now." She smiled evilly. "Heh. Good thing I really can't tell the difference."

After setting him on the bed Ryoshi kneels down and starts looking over the chair. She pulls a few plugs and wires, cleans them up and puts them back in place. She pulls the battery off the chair, replacing it with a new one from her toolbox. She adds a little device alongside the motor and runs the wire up to the control panel. She opens the control panel and reprograms it. She puts away her tools and brushes herself off as she stands.

"Ok. When you see guards, the warden, whatever, hit the slow button twice. This should make the chair perform to the warden's wishes. Now, you know me, I've added a little something extra that should make getting away even easier. 2 things. A booster which can be used by pushing these 2 buttons together." Ryoshi shows him which buttons. "The second new feature is a little oil slick. You push these 2 if the idiots insist on chasing after you." She smiles at Porok.

"It's still not fair why you are here..." "Ryo, I can't change that. My own people won't come to my aid. At least I have a bed and food here. Not the best but it works." He tried to smile. "If I had somewhere to go I would take you with me, but I don't even have that much." Ryoshi frowned. "Let's get you back in the chair now." Ryoshi went to the bed, with Porok's help she moved him back over to the wheel chair.

"Alright, I have some other things to do. I'll try and check up on you more often. Hopefully the idiots will leave you alone. If they don't just tell me." She smiled a toothy grin at Porok. He laughed, "Will do Miss Ryo. See you later." He smiled.

Ryoshi headed to Cell Block G to handle the ventilation problem. As she walked over she couldn't help but dwell on Porok. His theft was in desperation, it was only food. He just had the bad luck of picking the wrong house. He had ended up on the planet Dosh. Porok found a garden, unattended, and picked out lots of vegetables. Problem was the garden, the house, the property, belonged to the royal family. They broke his legs and sent him here. No trial. Nothing.

"If I ever get enough money saved up, I'm taking him with me. He doesn't deserve to be here," Ryoshi resolved within herself. She may be twisted and obsessed with her creations, but she also had a sense of justice. That's why she didn't kill 8055k. He was naive and took up a challenge. If she could figure out WHO was responsible, she would make their life even more hellish.
Dr. Salem

The punch made contact to the right side of Nick's jaw as he tried to dodge it; it made him stumble backwards. "I just said don't yell at me, asshole. Don't me punch me either."

--------------------------------------------

The guard raised an eyebrow."Oh, you have smokes to bet with? Charles, I believe we found contraband. Lets rough up 'em a little."
"It'll be my pleasure." Charles said as both officers took out their stun sticks.
Spirit Wolf

Ren looked at the guard. Fuck, I really was hoping to have a good day. Oh well, time for surgery I guess. He suddenly flips out 2 shivs. He cracks his neck, then immediately attacks. Hmm, armpits unguarded for most part. Let's go for that. He ducks under the first guards swing and cuts him in the armpit, then rolls. Heh, in a few seconds, you'll be dead. I just cut a major artery there that pumps a lot of blood in a single minute. Now then, do you want to fight me too? Or are you going to be wise and get the dead man out of here? By the time he finishes, the first guard slumps over, dead from blood loss.
Dr. Salem

"You'll be executed for this! I'm reporting this the warden! You'll just end up like Hansel! An example for the newcomers or a test subject for Ryoshi!" Charles darted for the elevator to the offices.

(Seriously GH, Bad move. Killing officers or MW's will make you end up like Hansel.)
Spirit Wolf

And here I was hoping he wouldn't do that. He dashes for the guard and tackles him before the elevator got there. Then he stuck his shiv right in his throat. He then gets up.Hmm, hey Rox! Get over here! One of the inmates runs over to him. Yeah? 5 packs of cigs and 3 free fix ups if you hide these bodies. I don't care how, just make sure they can't be traced to me, ok? You got it man. The guy picks up the bodies and runs away with them. Before he left, Ren put his shiv's in Rox's back pocket. It's a shame to lose them, but ah well. He smiles.
Dr. Salem

A turret nearby starts to activate and the same female voice from before starts up. "WARNING! WARNING! Officers attacked! Send back-up to Cell Block entrance! Prisoner, if you do not wish to be shot on site, stay motionless. Your limit of movement is 0.01 miles per hour."

(You expected to get off scott free in a high security prison station?)
Spirit Wolf

Mother fucker. Game over I guess. He slowly leans against the wall and slides down, not even caring if the turrets go off.
ginpu

((Uh... why the HELL did you even attack the guards? They did nothing. ))

As Ryoshi headed to the next assignment in Cell Block G a prisoner went racing by her dragging 2 bodies of guards leaving a blood stain trail a mile long. Whoever he's hiding those for is gonna be in big shit if he squeals, Ryoshi thinks.

"Ventilation... cell 482... 480, 481, 483... What the hell? Is this some sick joke?" Ryoshi looks around. Every single number is there, no repeats, and no 482. "Oh well, guess that's that. Nothing left for now. Time to go find the warden about Mr. Dennison."

Ryoshi left the cell block and headed back towards where the warden resided. On her way there she halted as the automated voice freaked. "Hrm?" Ryoshi looked around, brushing her hair out of her eyes. She saw Chris, Mr. Dennison and Ren. Ren is slowly sliding down the wall. Ryoshi begins to do a golf clap. "Bravo," she says sarcastically to Ren.
BlackBlade

"Mother....." *Chris slid away down the hall. He stopped when he saw Ryoshi, he nods* "Mornin' Ryoshi. So what do you think is goin' to happen to Ren?" *He looks back at Ren sitting on the wall. And sighs.*
Dr. Salem

Officers came for Ren with furious faces and fists clenched in anger. One officer grabbed him by the neck and pulled his head to be leveled with the the officer"Warden just radioed in; your on death row now. You're now going to be bunking with the rest of the death row inmates after your appointment with the warden. Your execution date will be figured out after the paperwork is filed." The officer cuffed him, pushed him forward, and passed by Ryoshi and stopped. "Ryoshi, do you want him for now? I don't think the warden would mind at all if his appointment is delayed."
ginpu

((To Chris))
"Hopefully not my wrench covered in blood again. He's been here how long? How stupid can he be? Warden might start with removing his fingernails and toenails... one by one. Hard to say. There's not much for me to learn from him though. It's a pity. I know the warden would have no problem letting me have him either." Ryoshi sighed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

((To Guards))
"Oddly enough, I have little interest in this one. It's Mr. Dennison over there I'm quite interested in. I might have eclectic tastes, but I still have some sense of principle. I can't learn much from stupidity." Ryoshi waved them along.
Dr. Salem

"The blindfolded guy? Nevermind, I have to do my job. All right then, come along inmate. Don't want to keep the warden waiting." The officer put his hand on Ren's back pushing him forward.

(Well, there are lots of types of rooms in Xilinx. I may think of a good room I wish to put in there. There is now a bar accessible to the crew of Xilinx)
ginpu

"Watch yourself Mr. J'dynrad. Lest you want to share the same fate. Well, I have to go obtain permission." She waves goodbye to Chris. As she walks by Mr. Dennison, "Perhaps I will see you later," she says to him and continues about her way.
BlackBlade

"If they were going to kill me they would have done it long ago... Well see you around Ryoshi." He watches her leave then joins Nick again. "Dude.... you are so screwed. Ryoshi never shows that much interest in someone unless she has an experiment she wants try on you..... sure some of them work, but some.... let's say they don't go as planed.." Chris looked at the newbies. "Well there goes my day, ... Oh, another lesson watch out for the turrets they're everywhere, and do what what they say. I hate those fucking things I just want to rip them off their mounts then beat the lazy guards with them" He voice shifted to growl like. He sighed pulled out a cig and took a long drag. "Before you ask, I'm one of the only ones here who is allowed to have cigs, trust me, it better for all this way." He voice was back normal.
ginpu

((Nicotine is BAD! Quit while you're ahead! Seriously though, smoked 10+year, been quit 5 now, still want one.))

As Ryoshi headed to the warden's office she looked around the place. Prisoners here for horrible crimes against all humanity, some here for petty crimes, just against the wrong people like Porok. Then there are the insane, those in straight jackets, they don't seem to know why they are here. Then there are the handful of mistrials, but no one cares about that out here. Ryoshi pondered how she managed to keep her dangling sense of humanity in this dismal place.

She arrived at the warden's door, brushed herself off then knocked on the door. <knock><knock>
Dr. Salem

"Did I do something?" Nick shrugged and scratched the back of his head.

----------------------------

"Come in, Ryoshi." A buzzer sounded off and opened the door automatically. The room was much colored and cleaner then the rest of the prison. Beige wallpaper with moldings and a few paintings dressed the walls and a oak wooden desk was in the center of the room sporting a coffee mug, laptop, and a desk lamp with several papers lined out under it. The warden was sitting on a leather office chair with his legs lying on the desk for comfort.
ginpu

"Afternoon, sir. I located my wrench, thank you. I've done 2 of the 3 work orders today. I couldn't locate a cell 482 though in cell block G. I thought it was odd, every other number was there that should have been, no repeats, but no 482, so I was unable to resolve the ventilation situation." Ryoshi thought for a moment on how to compose her next sentence.

"I ran across Mr. Dennison, prisoner number 588-97462. I understand he arrived this morning. I'm rather interested in this prisoner, sir. His lack of sight and dependence on other senses greatly intrigues me. I would like to, with your permission, study him in further detail, sir."

Ryoshi waited patiently for a response.
Dr. Salem

The warden's feet moved to the ground. "Good, Good. Your allowed to do with Dennison as you please, one of the worst scum here, did you know he destroyed an orphanage? Only ones worse are the ones in solitary. I was about to leave to solitary by the way for Ren and deal with him." He got up from his seat and passed Ryoshi into the hallways of Xilinx.
ginpu

"Thank you, sir." Ryoshi said. She followed him out of his office, then went her own way.

Ren's lucky I chose not to look into him. What the warden is going to do is far less severe then I would do to him, guess I'm getting a little soft, Ryoshi thought. She shrugged then headed out to locate Mr. Dennison.
ginpu

Ryoshi went back to where she left Mr. Dennison and Mr. J'dynrad. "Still here? Oh goodie." Ryoshi says with a smile and hint of glee. "Chris is being a good host I hope?" More glee. Ryoshi looks Nick over trying to figure out what to make of him, though her success is not so good. "Just what race are you exactly, Mr. Dennison?" Ryoshi asks Nick.

((I looked over the character sheet, and you really don't say what Nick is. Just unknown race, milky brown fur and white blindfold. Does he have ears? or is he like a wookie? Canine, Feline, Rodent, something entirely different?))
Durandal

"Good is but a matter of perspective," Sarasvati muttered. He had followed Chris as he had been told. By now his legs were aching from all the walking. This never would have happened if the guards hadn't disabled his augmentations. But he did not complain of his problems, for they mattered not. Only his service was of any importance, and since arriving he had failed to further the goal of the gods. He tried to attribute it to his need to become acquainted with his whereabouts. Of course, the distraction of his left eye staring at this 'Ryoshi' was not helping his concentration.
Dr. Salem

(Yes, he has long ears. Remember my example, similar to a Basitin [They rock] with minor differences such as a bit more human shaped feet so he can wear human shoes.)

"You're asking a person who's never seen himself in a mirror what his race is? Just smell me, that should be enough. I can't smell myself besides my armpit." Nick shrugged. "More importantly, what'd I do to get more screwed over than that guy that just killed two officers. You racist against blind guys?"
BlackBlade

"Hey, I just said Ryoshi's little projects don't always go as planed." Chris looked at Ryoshi. "No offense or anything, but we f-up at some point..... Like now for example, I just said all this right in front of you, and you're going to try kill me."
ginpu

Ryoshi looked upset. "Kill you? I have never killed a single being. Where the hell did you get that idea?!?!" She shouted at Chris. "Hell, I have a hard time killing fish just to have lunch."

Ryoshi sighed. "Yes, things don't always go as planned, as like with this eye." She pointed to it. "I did this to MYSELF 10 years ago. Part of why I'm not at home with the rest of the thraxah. We aren't allowed to use our wares on ourselves. But how am I supposed to know the stuff works, let alone how it works, if it works, and how to improve it? I could go by hearsay and just believe what others tell me. I thought that was too cruel. I'd rather harm myself then most others." Something in her voice told you she was sincere about this.

"Most the beings I have hurt, is because they came after me. It's called self defense. Maybe I took things a little too far with some of them. But compared to what happens to them after they get to Ren, I'm a freaking saint. Sure, he fixes the parts I may have broken, but at a cost to them. All he had to do was fix 8055k's trachea, he didn't HAVE to take the man's arm off."

"But I guess whatever, around here all that matters is rumors and reputation." Ryoshi shrugged. "Mr. Dennison, I have nothing against blind beings. If anything I would like to see what I can do to maybe restore your sight in some way. I've seen the blind try and make it through this shit hole in the past. It doesn't end up pretty. Regardless of your increased other senses, some prisoners can mask their scents, walk silently, move slow enough to not disturb the air currents."

"Those prisoners are here BECAUSE they can do these things. I can only offer to help you. I won't force it upon you." Ryoshi pauses for a moment. "Well, whatever the choice, I'm around, not hard to find me. Oh, and if anyone here tells anyone else I was being nice, I won't be so nice next time we meet." Ryoshi let out a low growl.

"Guess I'll go check out the other new guy, I'm understanding he's riddled with bioware! He could be interesting!" Ryoshi grabs her toolbox and heads over to the one known as Reverend.
Durandal

((Actually Ginpu, Sarasvati followed Chris to watch the spectacle so he'd be right next to the group. It's okay though, I'll roll with it.))

Legs can be such feeble creatures, as Sarasvati was just beginning to realize. He had wandered off (against his will, of course) and was now sitting facing a corner. He attempted to make the best of his situation and took the time to meditate. Oddly enough the W'rkncacnter weren't reaching him as strongly here as they had been before his incarceration. Now he barely felt there presence, and even that could simply be his imagination. He worried that they might now consider him to be no longer in an advantageous position to do the will of the gods. This possibility truly did frighten him; the gods had given him his body. Should they decide he didn't need it anymore.

With a newfound resilience Sarasvati exerted his mental influence over his legs and commanded them to work for him once more. His limbs proved more stubborn then he would have thought them to be, however, and he remained very seated to his dismay.

Footsteps behind him caused his upper torso to twist, with the unexpected side effect of illiciting several loud and rather disturbing pops that could not have been healthy. His face barely twitched with recognition of the pain though, and instead he smiled from his place on the floor.

"Ryoshi, is it? Yes... I could hear the death..." his eyes (well, his right eye) drifted down to her toolbox, "lingering on you; like a bad memory." Finally Sarasvati's legs quit their rebellion and he shakily stood, leaning into the corner behind him.

"Hear the death? What? I've killed no one. Where the hell are you crazies coming up with this shit?" Ryoshi is a bit ticked, and it's true. There has yet to be ANYONE to die by her hands.

Ryoshi sighs. "At least I don't have to defend myself against everyone here. Anyway, I've been meaning to ask. I looked into your profile, they have it written down that you have bioware and augmentations. They didn't seem to know the manufacturer. So, I'm curious, who did make them?"

*He walks around after watching Ren get punishment* [I didn't really mean this day, but whatever...] ((I'll say something of meaning once I have time to read all the posts))

Sarasvati smiled warmly but, on him, the expression looked more creepy than friendly. "My apologies, lady. You seem to have misunderstood. You have taken no lives... and yet death follows you. I know you dislike its... finality... its sense of justice. But in this place you can't escape it. It permeates the very fabric of our surroundings... Surely you have noticed this."

He waved off these thoughts suddenly as though dismissing them. With an effort he pulled away from the corner and started to walk around Ryoshi, keeping one eye on her at all times (literally). "But enough about you... you came to speak of me, the humble servant. Yes, I have been improved by the gods, but the one who produced my augmentations has a name no mortal could pronounce." He shrugged and looked truly apologetic. "I am sorry I could not satisfy your curiousity."

"Right. Can I look at them? See exactly how they should work?" Ryoshi asked.

((Are they merely disconnected or missing pieces right now that make them inoperable, Dur?))
Durandal

((They're missing pieces; critical connections, control components... etc. [ooh, alliteration!]))

Sarasvati didn't like where this was going. He held up a finger in warning. "You may, but recall: looking is done with the eyes..." The last time someone had opened him up to 'look' inside he had been rendered unconscious by the pain caused when he was deemed 'unworthy' of analgesics.

"Lookie, no touchie, got it. I won't touch, scouts honor." Ryoshi said.

((Durandal, you'll have to tell me what I see. Include any possible markings, logos, words, colors, etc. Thanks. ))
Durandal

((Okie-dokie... but I don't think you'll like it ))

The jumpsuit Sarasvati wore covered the objects of Ryoshi's interest, so he unzipped the top of the suit and took off the sleeves. The white tank top he wore had several protrusions underneath it that looked distinctly unnatural.

Once he was ready, Sarasvati held out his arms towards Ryoshi, palms up. Halfway between his wrists and his elbows were two silvery boxes, one on each arm. They were four inches long (long as in running down his arm) and one and a half inches wide. They were perfect rectangular prisms, every edge straight and precise. They stuck out of his pale and slightly shriveled skin by a half an inch. The metal boxes went into his flesh, and where the skin touched them it folded inwards. The surfaces of the boxes were entirely featureless, only bright silver faces that reflected the room with the precision of a mirror or a still lake on a calm day.

After he let her examine the devices on his forearms, Sarasvati dropped his left arm and without a word pointed at the device on his left upper arm there was a similar box there about three inches below the shoulder. This one was five inches long and almost three inches wide. He proceeded to show Ryoshi the similar augmentations riddled across his body. One over each shoulder blade, two on each side of his rib cage, multiple ones on his legs... And he ended by tapping a finger on his head. "There are several more, but you cannot see them. Under the surface a mystery lies hidden. Truth can be revealed, but often is not. This is the way of the gods whose will is supreme."
